All I can do is dance round with the hope that this information leads you somewhere. Firstly, it's Wade Williamston (not Williamson). Seems to be a founder member and there is an article here which narrows down the area of formation to Brownsville, Brooklyn: https://worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Record-World/70s/76/RW-1976-04-24.pdf Wayne Parris - Now this may be sheer coincidence, but here is an obituary for Norman Parris: https://www.allensummerhillfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Norman-Parris2/#!/Obituary who died back in 2013, but which references a younger brother called Wayne - trumpeter and musician! Now there's plenty of family information there if the deceased was in fact his older brother. As for the others, I am lost. You're on fire this evening. Wade Williamston was a unique name on Ancestry, found his full DOB from his Brooklyn address. Got Wayne's full DOB too as he was living at the same address in Brooklyn in the 1970s as Norman! Cheers.

Apparently not, so Brian Burke bogs off to settle down and I'm assuming gets a performer's royalty on a song he never promoted. There's a ton of information on Mick Coleman though: https://www.questmedianetwork.co.uk/news/tameside-reporter/nostalgia-chart-topping-lowry-tribute-in-1978/ https://www.tate.org.uk/art/artists/l-s-lowry-1533/lowry-painted-my-life-so-i-sang-about-his https://www.messengernewspapers.co.uk/news/whereyoulive/10346658.brian-and-michael-make-their-return-in-urmston/ Most recently is this from April 2020: http://www.tamesidecorrespondent.co.uk/2020/04/17/musician-mick-coleman-puts-admiration-for-nhs-into-song-by-re-working-matchstalk-men-hit/ Now that says he is 74 and resident in Gee Cross. He has a daughter Tamlah, a wife Dheveranee and a brother Tim Coleman with whom he performs. If that doesn't get you somewhere, there's no hope. I haven't looked into Kevin Parrott. Tried to play around with this one to no avail. There are just too many Michael Colemans out there! I even tried to match records with his brother by way of their mother’s maiden name but nothing. It would suggest one of them wasn’t born as Michael or Timothy as their real forename. Anyway, I digress. I’ve put him as b. c. 1945. Still a decent find. With regards to your comments about Kevin Parrott... this has opened another can of worms. I have two books in front of me. Both of them say different things about whether Burke recorded on that record. What do you think?

Hmm, generally I think Brian Burke was on the release, but Parrott takes a damn load of credit - not surprising, seeing as how he sunk all his money into it. I wonder if they paid Burke off? Anyway, surely there's a marriage registration for a Michael Coleman and a Dheveranee something or other? Or maybe Dheveranee Coleman throws up something from GRO? Number One in the charts and we are scrabbling around in the dirt for information. UK, ok? *sigh*

If they were married after 1992, the GRO/Ancestry won't have it publicly available anyway. I wonder if this is his wife? Seems she may be a performer too. It is frustrating when you hit a road block like this, though Althea & Donna and Brian and Michael are the only non-group acts who had a UK #1 in 50s-70s that we haven't been able to locate DOBs for... so far.

YoungWillz 21,046 Posted June 7, 2020 Brotherhood of Man. Bit confusing really. I've seen the source that suggests Sue Glover (Yvonne Wheatman) was born in 1951, but all the sources I have seen suggest Sunny Leslie (Heather Wheatman) was born in 1951. Wiki references Sunny as being 15 in 1966 and this site seems to confirm that, as suggesting Sunny was "barely 12" in 1963. This clip from Sue Glover on Johnnie Walker confirms Sunny was the younger sister and in fact Sue states that Sunny was "very young" at the time they signed for Oriole: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p04006w6 Sadly the full interview isn't available. That must mean that Sue is probably a few years older than Sunny. Given Sunny reached #7 in May 1974 with Doctor's Orders in her own right, we are going to have to nail her down to 1951 I think. I've seen information suggesting they are both still about, but that is 2 years old. Tony Hiller confirmed that Sue Glover is on FB before his death.

Found four of them in the GRO – all born in Liverpool North district. Seems they knocked a year off of all of their ages in that article and it's definitely Nunnen rather than Nunnery, that must be a typo. Can't find Andy Ball but assuming the same rule of –1 year applies, I've put "c. 1950" for now.

According to a comment from 12 years ago on this YouTube clip, she was already dead then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9dcKUtvy9E Now that is interesting! I did some searching and discovered that she was a part of the doo-wop scene in the States (acting as a featured vocalist with group The Impossibles) before landing on the disco scene. A comment I saw online suggested that she couldn't have been any older than 12 when recording on their biggest hit which charted on Billboard in 1961! There are several Linda Carrs listed as deceased on Ancestry born around the late 40s who could be her. Maybe one we'll never solve though as it seems she sadly disappeared into obscurity. Highwire is a great tune... didn't realise this is where the structure of "One Night in Heaven" by M People came from!
