Now there's plenty of family information there if the deceased was in fact his older brother.

Hmm, generally I think Brian Burke was on the release, but Parrott takes a damn load of credit - not surprising, seeing as how he sunk all his money into it. I wonder if they paid Burke off?

Sadly nothing. If they were married after 1992, the GRO/Ancestry won't have it publicly available anyway.

I wonder if this is his wife? Seems she may be a performer too.

It is frustrating when you hit a road block like this, though Althea & Donna and Brian and Michael are the only non-group acts who had a UK #1 in 50s-70s that we haven't been able to locate DOBs for... so far.

Bit confusing really. I've seen the source that suggests Sue Glover (Yvonne Wheatman) was born in 1951, but all the sources I have seen suggest Sunny Leslie (Heather Wheatman) was born in 1951. Wiki references Sunny as being 15 in 1966 and this site seems to confirm that, as suggesting Sunny was "barely 12" in 1963.

Cheers. Found four of them in the GRO – all born in Liverpool North district. Seems they knocked a year off of all of their ages in that article and it's definitely Nunnen rather than Nunnery, that must be a typo. Now that is interesting!

I did some searching and discovered that she was a part of the doo-wop scene in the States (acting as a featured vocalist with group The Impossibles) before landing on the disco scene. A comment I saw online suggested that she couldn't have been any older than 12 when recording on their biggest hit which charted on Billboard in 1961!

There are several Linda Carrs listed as deceased on Ancestry born around the late 40s who could be her. Maybe one we'll never solve though as it seems she sadly disappeared into obscurity.

Highwire is a great tune... didn't realise this is where the structure of "One Night in Heaven" by M People came from!
