    Charles Kennedy

The most worrying thought is that the Liberal Democrats (who are neither) could hold the balance of power after the next election. Thankfully, they'll as for the introduction of proportional representation in exchange for propping up either party - which both of them will refuse. That would cause another snap General Election, where people would vote either Tory or Labour, just to stop the other winning, and the Lib Dems would be destroyed. And I'll buy everyone a drink to celebrate.

    Peter Osgood Dies

But, to give him credit, he was still pretty classy at Southampton.

    Peter Osgood Dies

Anyone reckon that Osgood was bumped off by the Russian mafia, who now run Chelsea, because he knew too much?

    Clive Dunn

Can anybody help me... I'm trying to find an mp3 of Clive Dunn's Grandad, but can't. I've managed to download I Play The Spoons, the b-side, but Grandad is elusive. Thanks.

Isn't he wheelchair bound? About jake the snake - I'd be more concerned with his crack addiction than his depression. Yep, Dynamite Kid Tom Billington is ina wheelchair and living somewhere in the UK. His book - Pure Dynamite - is brilliantly bitter towards the wrestling industry.

Which is more than can be said for this site

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

And the older guy is Jo Grimond, of course. It's all clear now - it's just been a while since I've seen them in anything but posed shots.

I am right in saying that is good-old Thorpey sitting behind him on the right, am I not?

    Clive Dunn

I would also be more than happy if Dunny made a century. But I would love him to make just one more TV appearance in an outrageous role, in the same way I want Steve Davis to win just one more World Snooker Title before he retires.

But Wonder has always been blind - a degradation in eye-sight could be a symptom of many potentially debilitating illnesses.

    Bird Flu

Given the compensation culture in the UK these days, I've been thinking. Recently, someone who worked in an insurance claims office managed to win an insurance claim after tripping over insurance claims forms... So, as Her Majesty's Government have not said whether it is possible to catch bird-flu by having intercourse with an infected bird, does that mean if someone does catch it that way they would have the audacity to sue the Government? Just a thought - and that would make some startling headlines.

    David Irving

It's not a crime in The Netherlands. I stand corrected, but I'm not surprised that The Netherlands is also in the small group. Before other countries are mentoned I should point out that, by Europe, I meant Western Europe as opposed to the new lot, whose laws still have a few Soviet-bloc aspects about them.

    David Irving

The whole David Irving idea raises the issue of revisionist historians. Winston Churchill's alleged quote still stands true today. "History will treat me well, because I will be the one writing it!"

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Interesting, one of the first things he did after being elected was to vote against Neville Chamberain - while wearing his army uniform! He's done a heck of a lot of charity work since the Christine Keeler affair, but is looking very frail recently.

    David Irving

The whole David Irving thing raises some disturbing questions regarding religion. If one were to raise the argument that the Nazis were merely punishing the Jews for killing Jesus Christ, and that they were justified to do so, then where do you stop. Given that the state of Israel was created because of a ridculous claim backed up by a book of fiction, who knows any more. But Judaism does seem to be given far more protection than any other religion - in fact, I think the only European countries where is is not a crime to deny the holocaust are the UK and the Rep of Ireland.

That site is pretty good, some of the entries are classic. It almost makes me wish I lived in Milton Keynes.

Hasn't in a couple years. I believe 1999 was the last. Those Pap Per Views are becoming very expensice these days. You make that son of a bitch Vince Mcmahon rich. I haven't bothered getting a pay-per-view for a while, but I will with Wrestlemania because of Bret Hart's appearance at the Hall of Fame induction the night before.

Pete Rose - the question I want to know is whether Kane will tombstone him again at Wrestlemania!

One of the Dutch ones a decade or so ago, but I can't remember which one.

    Death List Had Made It.

That would be rather good. But Wiki's knocking on death's door anyway because it has got too big and noone is giving them much sponsorship. Wikipedia should be on DL, not the other way around!

That's how the QUOTE button works. You click quote, it goes red and then you click reply. It means you can put multiple quotes in replies with ease.

    Queen Elizabeth II

The Duke of Windsor lived until he was 77 - just short of his 78th birthday (1894-1972) so he exceeded the average male age at death. That's hardly young, compared to King G.G.G.George VI, or many of his former subjects.
