Turns out that Benoit's son had Fragile X sydrome, and that causes mental retardation. Also was very small for his size. Lots of odd things here though...
-
Why not leave a message for Melly's son on his Wiki talk page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tomandlu

It's pretty odd to watch him do the wrestling (ie fake) version of the crippler crossface on youtube now, to be fair!
-
Just quick update. There are starting to be suggestions from the investigators that he killed his seven-year-old son, who may or may not have been slightly mentally-retarded, with his wrestling finishing move...
-
To be fair, it's not just what they take but what they push their bodies to. Something like 300 days a year on the road. And it's not just performance enhancers...as one former wrestler roughly said...once you're on all the painkillers that keep you going, you take speed to get up for the match, then downers to sleep, then coke to wake up and it just goes round and round.
-
The tests were carried out by the WWE, however...
-
Just noticed... I think this is the most viewed thread after Dicky O Will keep you up on the sordid necrophillia happenings of Benoit, though, as I still don't like the way he was with the corpses for so long... Chris'll Fix It, Chris'll Fix It for you, and you and you...
-
And it gets worse... They're talking about this on CNN Headline News right now. Scott Ballard the D.A. on the case said seven-year-old Daniel, Beniot's son, had needle marks and they believe he had been on growth hormones for some time.

I imagine the BBC will update their story with the press conference stuff when they can be arsed: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6242806.stm

Was trained by Bret Hart's father, and was influenced by Tom Billington, the Dynamite Kid. Big in Japan, underused in WCW but was pushed in WWF/E and won one version of the World Championship. "Wrestling" fans always thought he was underappreciated and writers are now calling him one of the best 15 wrestlers of the past 30 years. So we're probably talking Ian Rush level. Ish. And I've now seen that press conference and what I put about is correct.

Found this elsewhere and goes with what I saw:

The words "hideous" and "heinious" are now doing the rounds... I'm starting to think I was right
-
To add to that bit, it has been bugging me not being able to speculate on any wrestling sites about what that might actually mean. I think the strange text messages he sent could have been him coming out, or perhaps there was something sexual/necrophiliac involved with his wife and/or kid. And yes, now that it looks as though he killed his wife and seven-year-old kid any time I had for him has vanished.
-
It's now being reported that Benoit killed his wife, then his son the next day before himself. Oh, and that a ridiculous amount of steroids were found at the house... Edit to add: "The details, when they come out," said Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard, "are going to prove a little bizarre."
-
At least one North American news source is saying they were "found slain," and that's a pretty harsh word.
-
Apparently he no-showed the PPV because his wife and kid were ill and coughing up blood. Then all were found dead. Very suspicious.
-
F**king hell... Always thought they were tempting fate by doing the "Vince is dead" angle. Can't believe this. He was meant to be on a PPV last night but there were rumours he had problems and wouldn't show. Genuinely stunned by this.
-
I might make an appearance as I'm nearby at the moment. Even if Maidstone Crown Court is a dump!
-
Not as bad as the other rumour - Macho Man Randy Savage

"Sensational" Sherri Martel has died: Sensational Sherri passes away Sherri Russell aka Sensational Sherri Martel passed away, believed to be this morning at home. She was 49. No other details are available at the moment. Police are currently at her residence with her husband. In 1991, while managing Randy Savage, Sherri was the only woman ever to win the Manager of the Year award.

I think he was born in Cumberland but spent time north of the border. May be wrong though, and perhaps he was just adding it because he couldn't get any work with his normal voice...
-
Good news. Though he wasn't one of the really bad lot and was still elected Austrian president after it all emerged. Number two though...and Maggie T has nothing left to live for now she's seen the 25th anniversary today.
