    Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

How about Mrs. Garrett from the Facts of Life? Might be famous enough depending on how popular the show was in the UK. She turns 80 in 2006 (b.1926)

    James Brown

Looks like James Brown might Cark it this year, he has several risk factors: Did Prison Time in 1988 for a high speed police chase. Charged with Felony Assault by his 3rd wife, 4 times. In 1998, admitted to hospital for painkiller addiction. Currently has Prostate cancer and Diabetes. Being sued for a 1988 rape at gunpoint, which caused the victim to develop a thyroid condition. Arrested for Gun, and Marijuana possesion in 1998. Addicted to Alchohol. I find it amazing that he has lived this far, he will be 72 this year.

Getting back to the topic, according to IMDB, he has Diabetes.

    Tony Martin

I think you may be getting Miller confused with Manilow Or is that just wishful thinking My grandmother had always talked about his songs, I had never thought to look him up....

    Nelson Mandela

I think you just see a person over 80 and think he's a dead cert, which is certainly the wrong way to be looking at things.

    Near Misses for 2005

hmm, I've never heard of either of them.

    Artie Shaw

I doubt they even did an autopsy

    Dick Clark

Doogie Howser.... that was a good show, I can't seem to find any reruns airing though. Anyway, I'm no doctor, just trying to prove a point.

    Gerald Ford

Some news as to the health of both Ford, and Dick Clark. It looks like Ford will be gone this year. He's been missing some of his usual events. It also seems as if his spokespeople are trying to hide something. Clark at top, scroll down for Ford

    Les Paul

Couldn't help but notice the way B.B King looked there, Football Fan was right, he doesnt look a day over 70. I might have to rethink my consideration for him this year.

    Olivia De Havilland

Olivia isnt the only gone with the wind star still alive, I noticed that Evelyn Keyes(86), Ann Rutherford(85), and Fred Crane(87) are all still going.

    Tony Martin

Glenn Miller is dead? Wow, my grandmother just loves that guy's songs. I don't even think she knows that he's dead.

    Dick Clark

The way I look at it, the 3-4 weeks in the hospital, if anything, they probably increased his chances of surviving a few more years. Think about it, they were obviously doing some heavy duty testing while he was there, and he is probably now taking alot of extra measures to prevent another stroke from occuring. People who just spend a few days in the hospital after a stroke probably arent doing much to prevent another stroke. For all you know, he could have had brain surgery done in there to prevent any further strokes.

    Margaret Thatcher

Speaking of the Wizard of Oz, I read on IMDB that Clara Blandick (Auntie Em) committed suicide at 82 by taking an overdose of sleeping pills, and thrusting her head into a plastic bag. She left a note to her family saying "I am now entering the biggest adventure of my life"

    Nelson Mandela

Maybe it's just me, but Nelson Mandela just seems like someone with enough strength to live well into his 90s. He hasn't had any notable health problems, and he survived being imprisoned into his 70s. I'm guessing he will die somewhere along the lines of 93-96.

    Artie Shaw

As far as the question of "Cause of Death", everywhere I read said natural causes.

    Bob Barker

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Leslie Crowther is not still going, he died in 1996, 9 years ago, at 63. Leslie

    Last Thoughts For 2005

Good to see Al, Jane, and Liz on the list. Kind of concerned about Lady Bird's and Delores' fate this year though.

    Dick Clark

Just because a person has a stroke, doesnt mean they're doomed, a person dick's age can have a good 10 years left after a stroke. However, he also has another risk factor - diabetes. So, my guess is that Dick Clark will make it to 78 or 79, give or take a year or two.

    Deathlist 2005! Success Poll

Very interesting article, his thinking sounds logical but it just doesnt seem possible in such a short amount of time.

    Near Misses for 2005

Comic Artist Will Eisner dead at 87 after a Quadruple Bypass

    Mike Tyson

Thanks, always nice to see a mature, and well-thought out rant.

    Cyril Fletcher Is Gone :+(

IMDB isnt even showing that he's dead yet, Im guessing he died on the brink of the two days, probably between 10pm and 2am. In that case, The date of his death would depend on his time zone...., he wasnt on the list, so it really doesnt matter.
