i do I've just sent a link to a free .gif animation/creation download to my home pc. I expect if I overcome my usual inability to use art packages for more than 5 mins without wanting to destroy my computer I'll have a .gif avatar soon. The clever money's on a busted computer. Is it easier or harder than Flash animation? I could never make Flash draw anything more complicated than the 'morph one simple 2D shape to another slightly different sized 2D shape', or the occasional button. I don't know why I find art packages so counter-intuitive, other stuff I can find my way around and gradually pick up by trial & error, with art packages it's just a trial & error loop with no noticeable gain. I'll be aiming to get a confused mess of black lines to wobble a bit on a 5 second loop, just so you'll know when I've got my .gif right... i would say easier than flash.. all depends which programme you're using. and how complicated you want the .gif - my flag is only 4 or 5 frames of the same image with varied transparency on a loop.

2 dead threads was too confusing. Just the one works fine.. the cricket death was an exeption because the thread was in the extra-corricular... If anyone is reporting a death, it should go in the Dead Thread (unless they have their own thread).

Alphonsin, your post was moved to the cricket thread. Chill out, everything will be OK I have some sympathy with Alphonsin here. For the shock death of one of England's foremost openers to be relegated to a thread under the "extra-curricular" heading is surely a little strange! Correct me if I'm wrong (it won't be the first time!) but I thought the threads in that section all related to stuff which was indeed "extra-curricular", i.e. not directly death related (such as discussing who supports the crappiest football team, what you had for breakfast, etc.) Good Call

Well actually I have. My sister is undergoing treatment for cervical cancer and I have been treated for breast cancer. Recently I have been diagnosed with chronic Pulmonary Hypertension and have just been forced to quit work. My future is uncertain to say the least. However I have a sense of humour and find this site very entertaining. I don't join in the discussions very often but love reading them. If you don't like the site then don't come here. Simple! jesus... i hope you umm.. get better? i dont even know what that pulmonary thing is but it sounds pretty bad. you have a great attitude. rm
