DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
Deathray replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Anyone else go through phases where the tiniest of things annoys them beyond belief and they get irrationally angry over the littlest of things but at the same time seem to have a unwanted fuck it attitude to the bigger things? -
You have to be a certain level of twat to take someone saying that they have Aspergers Syndrome as them being a self-confessed nutjob [see Packhamgate]. The sooner he and his shit brand of idiocy are out of parliament the better.

Good to know she's been found alive. My rant above still stands regarding which ever half-arsing lucky bastard dies next to undeserved adulation. -

Hasn't she been insane since about 1990. Hope she recovers etc etc Call me a miserable fuck or a insensitive cunt but I'm going to get in early. Should she or any other massively famous musician/actor/sportsperson/public figure/accreddited w***er (and we're overdue one by this years standards) cark it in the near future can we maintain perspective as if I ever see the kind of self-indulgent, sanctimonious shit that I was forced to watch/read and try to avoid as some of the recent celebrities have been gifted with after their death I might go insane. We can respect these people with a short tribune clip at the end of the half-hour news cycle, we don't need hour after hour after hour of tweets, celebrities putting their face about for some work under the guise of "paying tribute to a close friend" (when in reality they saw the person a few times a year if their luckily their entire life like that 44th great aunt two billion times removed you've got and aren't quite sure how she's related to you but's at every fucking family gathering). I get that the news, and the internet might want to relay the achievements of a lifetime that's ended, so fucking do that, don't sit and tweet about yourself and how cut-up you are over someone you've literally never fucking met just get a fucking grip and stop being a nation of grave-gazing grief porn loving necrophiliacs. My fingers are hurting from how angrily I've pressed the keyboard typing this, that's how much this topic is annoying me at the minute. -
Are we sure she's definitely alive?

Aye, so there's still some proper scallies in the crowd, then? Amazed they haven't been priced out of the Shrine to Ferguson to be honest.

https://twitter.com/willjohnson_20/status/731857084539637760 "Jihadi John, we don't give a fuck, we're going to win the FA Cup." If anything sums up football fans it's that chant when the stadium is being evacuated for at what they would've believed at the time could be a potentially fatal threat.
-
Wouldn't be massively different, you'd evacuate the stands in turn if necessary (only two stands were evacuated at Old Trafford today). Stadiums are built so that fans can get out quickly with fans going to their nearest exists. Aye but presumably they were the two stands closest to 'the bomb'; what would happen if a half-million-seater stadium received a phone call saying there's a bomb but we're not going to tell you where it is? If I remember correct, any plane (small or massive) has to be able to evacuate everyone on board in 90 seconds using only half the number of its doors, else it doesn't get to fly. I'm not saying you should be able to evacuate a stadium in that time under those conditions but the bigger the stadium, the longer it takes with the sheer number of people involved and thereby the potential for a far greater number of casualties. In your scenario of not knowing where the stands are you'd do an end-of-match style full-stadium evacuation. Fans tend to leave pretty quickly, so you try to get them to treat the situation as leaving whilst reminding them of the serious, if people start rushing you get crush asphyxiation, which dependent on the reality of the threat could be a worse outcome than no evacuation. You will be aware from my earlier reply that the evacuation time for any sports ground is dependent largely on the level of fire risk present. For a low fire risk seated area the emergency evacuation time for all spectators to reach a place of safety or reasonable safety should be no more than eight minutes. For a higher risk seated area the emergency evacuation time to reach a place of safety or a place of safety or reasonable safety should be no more than two and a half minutes. The characteristics of areas likely to be considered low, normal and higher risk are set out in Chapter 15 of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds which may be accessed via the publications section of our website https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/all_seater_evacuation_times [1]www.flaweb.org.uk. A place of safety is defined as:

Oi. Get off my turf you little shit. -
Your phrasing but a bit odd, but if you're arguing for a move towards better restrictions on TV of footy I agree. From next season some weekends will have at a guess: Friday Evening 19:45 Saturday 12.30pm & 5.30pm Sunday 12:00pm, 14:30, 17:00 Monday: 19:45 That's 8 out of 10 matches in a weekly cycle scheduled at telly times, leaving two at the traditional 3pm Saturday time that can't be televised. Not to mention that one of those weekends could easily have a CL match on the Tuesday and Europa match on the Wednesday - or even just rescheduled matches from cup clashes?

Part of the reason it never sells out is it's such a trek to get to from half the county, the half that's more into football. No-one remember the White Horse Final at the Old Wembley, apparently the numbers bandied about for that event were up to 300,000. If the product is interesting enough it'd attract the crowds. The best way to deal with the safety issues would be an underground transport hub incorporating trains to link up to the several different major stations, and the car parking, coaches and walking exists being above the ground. Build it somewhere reasonably rural and it'd be fine. Make the games un-televised as they should be and it would sell out for most England matches.
-
International football matches. I reckon if it was located in the midlands and tickets were cheap enough (say a tenner, with coaches costing £20-35) it could sell out for most home internationals played on a Saturday/Sunday. It would also be a massive boon for our World Cup bids. It's obviously far too big for a league team but it would be far better than Wembley for international purposes. If constructed properly, the view wouldn't be a massive issue. You could also play CL matches there and attract much larger audiences. And finally, some of the biggest stadium concerts in the world. Make the place safe standing and it wouldn't even be horrendously massive.

Anyone reckon a 500,000 capacity football stadium could be built in the UK?

Whilst sainsbury's claim that they don't use volunteers they do use job seekers for work experience schemes. -
I don't hear it as derisory - I think she seemed genuinely pleased. The same with the Tesco voucher this week. The Queen has a reputation for being quite frugal, so it seems she has a firm grasp on the value of money and enjoys a little windfall as much as the rest of us. Oh don't get me wrong, I think she enjoys the thrill of winning as much as the next monarch, I'm just curious what HM is going to find to spend £50 on in Tesco. Buck Pal refused to comment on who will actually spend the money. I'm sure I saw a clip from the documentary that she stopped from ever airing in full again where she went to the local shop and paid for whatever she was buying in cash.

I'm starting to get the feeling the queens a bit of a cunt!

I love the little derisory laugh she has at sixteen pounds.

In other words, free for pretty much anybody watch. Haha to the suckers who payed £21.99 to watch them. Basically UEFAs a little bit pissed of at how low the viewing figures have got since ITV had the rights nicked off them.

Burton Albion next season for us then. Relegated by Sunderland due to a poor performance at Aston Villa to boot.

You'll probably see the friend you both remembered in a couple of days. -
He needs to try harder, he'd have called them slanty eyed and rude. Prince Philip might have said something along the lines of "The slanty-eyed half-pints with the creosote skin we're ignorant to us, maybe it's their culture."

World Cup 2026 host announcement delayed by three years to 2020. Hopefully boosts chance of it coming to England.

Interesting point. Reckon the delay might be due to a lot more offences that have been kept under wraps until the allegations are firmed up.
