A very hyperactive impressive start to the year for the DDP. I thought you were in for a very busy time this year and so far my hunch is coming true so buckle up , put on your seatbelt it's going to be a bumpy and lumpy ride!
-
Piper Laurie played my absolute favourite character in Twin Peaks the complex angry and jealous bitch Catherine Martell- and played her brilliantly! Good choice for a thread.
-
A very firm favourite of an older relative of mine who died many years ago. He was often singing or playing I will do anything for love but I won't do that This news has brought back very emotional memories A great talent.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/coronation-street-star-charlie-condous-26003249 Actor Charlie Condou, former star of Coronation Street, has revealed his sister has died of ovarian cancer aged 59. -
Indeed! While you are here and we are on matters royal -Are you one of the handful of teams that picked Princess Alexandra this year on the Derby Dead Pool? I don't think I have seen her appear on there before.
-
Queen Elizabeth ll will also be a popular future centenarian pick in 2026. If she lives that long probably the most popular centenarian DDP pick ever!!
-
Strangely enough I have hummed to this song of Loretta Lynns on a few jukeboxes in bars over the years. Before I'm over you is a fab little song!

This is my favourite photo of him . In the shower back from the dead saying good morning did you miss me?!

And had a mainstream hollywood movie Coalminers daughters made about her in the 1980s.

Yes she did seem to struggle a bit with her speech. Not 100% sure why. Made me quite emotional. She seemed determined but frail.

Rosemary Squires is a very worthy pick. I'd have hated her to possibly end up on the list of the missed after I dropped her. Maybe she will still be a choice available to me in 2023 .Maybe she won't. It was a toss up between dropping Rosemary, Loretta Lynn or the Duchess of Kent. It was a difficult decision but in the end I have invested in advocating for Loretta and The Duchess so much even for the Official Deathlist that I felt choosing them over Rosemary made sense all round

I think you will do well!

I am not 100% sure this is new but this just came up on my Instagram and is hash tagged 2022 . A CBS TV interview with Liza. God I love her!

@msc I have looked at your three teams and I think The Gallifrey regeneration game is both your most interesting team in terms of variety and choice of names and also is likely to be your best performer despite Pan Breed having numerous drop 40 names. Jane Sherwin, June Bland, Mary Peach and Gabriel Wolf all good and interesting choices on the team!

Yes thank you! I thought the biography descriptions for my new picks were very impressive and entertaining! I especially enjoyed the Ed Fury one which is the shout out I think you are referring to!! I certainly got a kick out of it! ps my good self focusing in on his raunchy film The Stud and not his other lauded work is definitely a reflection on me and my philistine streak and not your biography!

I devoured much of the website last night and intend to devour the rest of it to in the early hours. I was very impressed at how detailed it was given the enormity of the task. Definitely a labour of love by the 3 pool runners. I was pleased to see that Rosemary Squires, David Ogilvy and Susan Harris didn't end up on the list off the lost and became unique picks for other players. Chuckled to myself at Gerry O'Hara as I was convinced his career high was the film The Stud which revived Joan Collins career but the committee in their description clearly knew he was much more accomplished in film than a raunchy 1970s film of Joan Collins in a threesome and enjoying sexy fun midair swinging over a pool!!
-
Oh Are you Pan Breed? I am surprised that Christina Crawford is still a unique pick and after somebody mentioning George Carey on here in a suggestion thread I didn't think it was good odds he would be unique. But that is balanced by Chris Sarandon and Maggie Dence not being unique when I reckoned at least one of them would be! I was beginning to think I wouldn't surpass 38 this year or only just but to surpass by 6 is an excellent surprise!
-
44 Unique picks surpassing my 38 Unique picks last year! I am delighted!! Thank you @Grim Up North @Death Impends and @gcreptile for all of your dedication, hardworking and passion! You are gems!

I can be so dizzy and ditzy sometimes!!

Well Murdochs papers really toned down and depriortised criticism of his premiership in the last couple of days and then this news about the BBC is floated.... Call me a cynic..
-
Not to mention the thorny question of whether Nadine Dorries daughters were given jobs in the running of her constituency or Westminster office because they were the best candidates for the job or because she is their mummy.

Delighted that none of my picks have been rejected! Although I do try very hard not to test the boundaries John Ward last year aside!

I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

Could also be the long awaited Leslie Philips, Bob Barker or Henry Kissinger...? -

Make sure your well stocked up on moistened toilet paper then you will be able to cope much easier with the frantic activity and pace that deadpooling and the deathlist will bring this year!! The forecast is plenty of bleach, toilet duck and higher end toilet roll will be necessary this year so be quick as one is about to drop and plop sooner than you think...!
