The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous
Gooseberry Crumble replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
Speaking of Larry Flynt Larry 75 today! Given some of his appearances and health issues over recent years I'm pleasantly surprised he's still with us. -
https://www.thelocal.no/20170926/norwegian-news-agency-accidentally-reports-death-of-king Oh heck! The death of King Harald of Norway was wrongly announced by sections of the media just over a month ago!

Count me in.
-
Not sure what if anything it signifies given he's unlikely to be managing his own account most of the time but Bob Doles twitter account has started becoming active again in the past week. First time tweeting since he announced he'd been discharged from hospital.

American Astronaut Michael Collins 87 today
-
It's Diana Serra Cary aka Baby Peggy birthday today 99 today so the kindness of strangers is it seems still keeping her going.
-
At least you won't be short of pussy then!
-
Yes they did hence why I tentatively say if but it's possible his decline in health stabilises and he hangs on for a little while. I've seen it a few times with family and friends relatives.
-
Stirling Moss definitely sounds like a must for the committee to put on the list next year if he manages to make it to next year.
-
Interesting list thanks.
-
Cleo Laine celebrates a milestone birthday today 90 today! So still not dead despite the thread being bumped again!
-
Oops a daisy Sorry! I didn't click on your video clip link so didn't grasp were you were coming from!
-
Nope. She's worth a mention especially as she either only just made it onto the crowdsourced deathlist or just missed getting on it by a few points. I can't recall which but I remember it being raised at the time. Not many folk left from the silent movie era.Their always worth a mention especially in the run up to people choosing names for next year.

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/08/31/7-living-spouses-of-uk-prime-ministers/ Interesting article here on the living spouses of ex UK prime ministers.

http://www.cmt.com/news/1787811/loretta-lynn-makes-surprise-appearance-at-hall-of-fame-inductions/ Makes a rare public appearance but appears weak and disorientated.

Yes indeed my favourite character in Will and Grace superbly acted by Shelley Morrison who has turned 81 today
-
70 today. Many Happy Returns to the former first lady and first female contender for US President for a main party.
-
Bob Dole. I've a feeling that his recent stay in hospital and his subsequent return home is about allowing him to die peacefully at home. He really does look quite frail in the picture posted once he was back home.

The poll says who will be the 16th death and the thread title says 17th death.

Next Years Deathlist Creativity Thread
Gooseberry Crumble replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I've got a feeling there will be a few more women on next year's list. Perhaps around 15? Some possibilities include Doris Day Loretta Lynn Mary Wilson (widow of Harold Wilson) Barbara Bush Olivia Newton John Linda Nolan Barbara Walters Joan Plowright Diana Athill Della Reese Clarissa Eden -
I think Bush will make it to 2018 but I think Jimmy Carter will quickly break the record of longest lived US President and perhaps hold that record for quite some time just as the previous record holder did. I think that was Gerald Ford?
-
Oh I think the tories will realise it will look very selfish very party before country to depose of Theresa May before brexit is formally completed in March 2019. I think she will leave office in 2019, so I guess it all depends how long Prince Philip has left for your prediction to come true.

Possibly at Margaret Thatchers funeral? I can't recall if they attended but it would take something exceptional like that to get Tony Blair and Gordon Brown in the same room!

Authors Last A Long Time, But....
Gooseberry Crumble replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
John Le Carre. 86 today! One of Britain's most successful authors John Le Carre turns 86 today and I think he's reaching an age, such is his fame, that he should at least be on the committees radar for consideration even vaguely!
