But in plenty of other houses, many many of them!

Winnie Mandela Now she's another one who deserves her own thread if she hasn't already got one! Do you think I should start one?
-
A brilliant British acting legend and Oscar winner who has been very famous for decades.
-
How so? . Because I'm just explaining that there is a case for saying she deserves her own thread? Or because I don't pay much heed to people spending time telling others whether or not they should have started a thread? I may "sound" cross as you put it but people who excessively fret over whether others should start a thread or not strike me as sounding like moaners and whingers.
-
Well I obviously don't agree and none of your reasonable guesswork would explain why someone who has always spoken as if she will keep on acting and taking work until her "last breath" has now gone very quiet career wise unlike say her good pal Judi Dench. That points to possible ill health to me. Anyway a Maggie Smith thread now exists whether or not some other posters are in full agreement with it or not.
-
Well I feel the time is right to start one now as I think she looks quite frail. She's not just any old famous person she's an A lister.
-
I was surprised to see that one of Britain's most famous, talented and respected actresses Maggie Smith didn't have her own thread especially as she is now in her eighties. Not only is she worthy of her own thread, but the fact she has noticeably started to slow down workwise, unlike say Judi Dench, and how peaky and frail she looked when attending Wimbledon prompted me to feel it was time for her own thread. Such a distinguished talented lady.

Thanks for clarification and stopping me from thinking I was losing my faculties!

89 today!

Indeed it can sometimes seem like that! I didn't or couldn't recognise some of them especially the males including the guy walking with Angie Dickinson although I feel sure he was a famous face. Perhaps other more astute posters on here recognised some of the others?

Here we go The rollcall of stars leaving the service starts just after 27 minutes in but earlier in the service you have to look to see Dick Van Dyke etc Filming funeral services is a bit of an "alien concept" to me but then I'm not a celebrity but whatever people feel is right for them. It's been shared publicly on YouTube so they must be happy with it.
-
It was on the datalounge forum. Someone started a thread discussing old Hollywood gathering at Barbara's funeral and posted a YouTube link to a recording of the whole funeral service. I spotted Angie amongst the leavers towards the end of the video. If people feel it's in good taste to post a video link to the funeral service which was open to the public then I will but I am apprehensive about doing so?

Angie Dickinson was spotted yesterday at the funeral of her good friend Barbara Sinatra widow of Frank Sinatra. Quite a few faces from "Old Hollywood" were there. In terms of an impression of health, vitality and being in good form Angie looked pretty good as did Dick Van Dyke who gave a reading during the service. Robert Wagner however really looked his age and not in great fettle to my mind.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread
Gooseberry Crumble replied to M Busby Airlines's topic in DeathList Forum
I'm going to go for Mark Eden who played Alan Bradley in Coronation Street please. -
You making anymore progress towards getting Bernard on the list? Winning any hearts and minds maybe?
-
In terms of achievement Mel Brooks is more deathlisty, in terms of likelihood to die in the next year Jackie Stallone is more deathlisty. Her sons name certainly helped launch her fame but she has maintained alas even if only in a superficial sphere like offering to read people's bottoms to predict the future!

Well clearly there isn't consensus on here that all leaders of whatever country don't deserve their own thread if a poster so wishes to create one. I'm sure you can live with that! A thread will rise or fall, sink into oblivion or bounce on top of the waves on its own merits. I can't see the point of people getting worked up over this type of thing and having a go at the thread starter. The thread either dies on its arse or it doesn't!

I'm genuinely surprised it took this long to cancel them. It's incredibly optimistic to have a stroke in May that requires intense rehabilitation and expect to perform a concert in July especially aged 85!

The Keanu Reeves film?
