Thank you OP for all your hard work and setting up this thread! Can I show how dim I am and ask what the star asterisk symbolises please? If it means unique pick does that mean unique to this thread or the whole forum as I seem to be the only one who's picked Eilleen Derbyshire but no asterisk? Apologies in advance!

According to Wikipedia and other media reports the date of Natalie Coles death was the 31St December 2015. Don't know if anyone selected her last year and if it alters the scoreboard?

I assume you've received my list in PM Shaun? ☺

Yes I was very surprised that neither Clarissa Eden or Mary Wilson were there but I'm pleased that Doris Day was not included in this year's list as she strikes me as being in fine fettle for her age.

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Gooseberry Crumble replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
Just a few suggestions of my own King Juan Carlos the first of Spain -abdicated last year and lots of rumours of being in ailing health Nancy Sinatra snr Franks first wife aged 98 Hollywood Golden era actress (B lister) Gloria De Haven aged 90 Julie Goodyear -Coronation Street legend -been ill for years with a host of ailments yet by many accounts still smokes like a trooper. In her mid 70s. Reg Grundy - Australian television legend aged 92 and founder of grundy television maker of aussie soap Neighbours etc American billionaire and tv media mogulSummer Redstone aged 92- a quick Google will illustrate his deterioration in health and the court cases sparked by those wishing to "protect him and control of his vast financial assets " Michael Heseltine -UK politician with a known heart condition and a very blood pressure raising European referendum debate likely next year. Silent movie star Mary Carlisle -101-102? Star Trek legend William Shatner worth considering and doesn't look overly healthy. Clarissa Eden -wife of former UK Prime minister Anthony Eden. Turns 96 next year. -
I think Shirley Bassey and Imelda Marcos are very good and interesting pics! Big names that if they sadly die will definitely make for a qualifying obituary but not obviously at risk bar getting on in years a bit. There's always "older " big names who seem like they've got a good few years left in them and are a bit of a shock and feel very unexpected when they happen. For me this year that was Cilla Black and Jackie Collins. Shirley and Imelda seem like those kind of names for next year.

I will PM a list later tonight. Thanks for doing this competition

Death Wishlist 2016
Gooseberry Crumble replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
This thread is the wishlist not prediction list! This is for unpleasant people we hope die like notorious murderers and ultra cruel people! I nominate Grace Mugabe who is the wife of dictator Robert and if recent media reports are true is now increasingly powerful behind the scenes of this brutal regime. A power behind the throne as her husband is ailing and losing his grip. -
Is this Barry person her brother? You can't pick 2 people with 1 pick No Edna is Barrys alter ego not sibling!

I think he's had issues in the past. There have been times where he looks bloated and I don't think that's due to putting on weight simply from overeating .. it'll be him having excessive sessions of botox & colonic irrigation. ('Pump up the bottom') Talking of camp hosts & entertainers, Lionel Blair's getting on a bit. Bless him. He looked slightly drunk to say the least on his lottery show earlier this year! Bit off the rails me thinks. I have included Lionel Blair as one of my entrees in one of the "competitions " on here and I do recommend the committee consider Lionel for their list especially considering he has had life threatening health issues in recent years.

Please, please do not start asking if a posting is in the correct thread! The thread police are working hard enough already, they do not need to be further encouraged by connotations that anyone actually cares but them! Don't feed the beast! Duly noted!

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Gooseberry Crumble replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
I feel in terms of potential royal deaths there's naturally because of his age a lot of support for Prince Philip being listed but I'd urge the committee to also consider both The Duke and Duchess of Kent. The duchess infrequent "public " outings have revealed a rather frail doddery lady not in sparkling health and the Duke in recent years has suffered a stroke. Other names worthy of consideration by the committee in my opinion are film director James Ivory, SNP "royalty" Winnie Ewing, Rosemary Harris and Nancy Sinatra senior whose aged 98. -
Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Gooseberry Crumble replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
I think Lord Snowdon when you take into account his former hedonistic lifestyle and his age is worthy of consideration for next year's list. -
This is my first time entering one of these -still feel a slight ping that I'm transgressing doing this but on balance I think It's all good natured and non malicious so here's my list 1)Dale Winton 2)Billy Graham 3)Antony Booth 4) Barbara Windsor 5)The King of Thailand 6)Eilleen Derbyshire 7)Henrik Prince Consort of Denmark 8)American actor George Kennedy 9)FW de Klerk 10) Barbara Sinatra Franks widow 11) James Watson (one of the scientists who discovered the structure of DNA) 12)John Turner -Former Liberal Prime minister of Canada 13)Jacques Chirac 14)Dorothy Malone 15)Peter Carrington (Lord Carrington) 16)Ivy Bethune (American actress -Back to the future) 17) Lord Snowden (Princess Margarets ex hubby) 18)Mary Higgins Clarke 19) Lionel Blair 20) Clarissa Eden As you can see I have a little tendency to go for guesses that many don't go for, bit less headline obvious, quirky, leftfield etc -We shall see whether or not it "pays " off! Here are my three substitutes 1) Little Richard 2) Ken Kercheval 3)Liz Dawn
