I'm assuming that the guest list for the private family service and burial will remain private? So unfortunately we will just have to speculate unless a photo emerges. I suppose there is a small chance she goes to the more intimate family service and not the Westminster Abbey ceremonial one. But that in itself might suggest health and stamina issues that she only feels up to attending one of them. I genuinely think if she was up to attending both services, like another non working royal married in her sister in law Princess Michael of Kent, she would have. When she stepped down from royal duties there was no drama or hostility with The Queen. Just my thoughts anyhow.

If confirmed then I really do think she needs to be on next years list. I cannot sew anything but poor health and frailty stopping her from attending. Lady Pamela Hicks and David Ogilvy are there in their nineties and mobility restricted. She was at Harry's wedding- she's not going to snub the Queens funeral. Ain't her style.

Has anybody spotted her at the Queens funeral? So far I haven't.

She was known for her rather sexually charged and explicit romantic novels such as The Stud (1969), Lady Boss (1990), Lovers and Gamblers (1977), Hollywood Husbands (1986) , Lovers and players (2005) and American Star (1993). Jackie often said much of her material came from being a bit of a wallflower when at parties and social events in Hollywood and high society and quietly observing the human zoo and peoples interactions overtime and soaking it all up . Many celebrities tried to get her to reveal which of her novels naughty characters were based on which famous person- but she would never tell! In some regards Jackie could be quite traditional- a fan of sexual liberation and people enjoying their sexual freedom and adventure as long as it was outside marriage. She said outside marriage do whatever you want but once married the rules kick in. This seeming contrast within Jackies character lead some to describe her as a raunchy moralist- a phrase I quite like and feels sort of applicable to me!

Always elegant yes She did have a few falls around 2018 or 2019 and I saw a picture on an Instagram story or video about five years ago were she was arranging a bunch of flowers in a vase whilst visiting one of her adult granddaughters (Flora or Zenouska) and her hands and wrists looked incredibly inflamed, red and tender . So definitely one worth keeping an eye on.

On this day 7 years ago in 2015 former Scottish diver and olympian Peter Heatly died aged 91. He competed in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics but without winning any medals but highest placed finish 5th place. He did win gold medals for diving in three consecutive commonwealth games (then known as the British Empire games) in 1950 (Auckland), 1954 (Vancouver) and 1958 (Cardiff). He served as the Chairman of the Commonwealth games between 1982-1990. He is also the grandfather of one of Britains best and most promising talents in diving going forward -James Heatly.
