Here's some more non-music for you to unappreciate, Deathray.

Probably my favourite Residents song, you goddamn tin-eared sonovabitch. I'm sure Debby Boone has some soothing releases more suited for your tastes, Deathray. SC

I just went through a bulk of the Lost list yesterday and there were 4 or 5 names I find truly astounding in their obit absences (not to mention my Hilda Hanson, but I digress--and there I go mentioning the not to mentions). Colin Butts kinda on the fence for me of the 'can you believe it?" misses....but he is right up there, being British and all. So yeah I guess so. Not the most shocking but does give pause. SC

At 90, she's the anti Alan King: "Survivors include her husband, Ron". Wasn't her first marriage -- wonder if she was a cougar? I'm putting money down she was. SC

A driver of former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf was sent to jail on Sunday after he had run over a motorcyclist on the Islamabad Expressway a day before. Abid Nawaz, the driver, had been driving a government-owned land cruiser allotted to the former premier when he struck a police constable who was riding a motorbike near Zero Point on Saturday afternoon. Absolutely fascinating ongoing story. A multinational rescue effort is underway to try to reach an injured sailor whose yacht is disabled in the South Indian Ocean. Abhilash Tomy, a 39-year-old Indian naval commander, was competing in the 2018 Golden Globe Race -- a nonstop, 30,000-mile solo yachting competition that bars the use of modern technology -- when his boat hit a storm. Tomy's 36-foot boat, Thuriya, was one of several hit by 80 mph winds and 46-foot seas midway across the South Indian Ocean on Friday, 82 days into the race, organizers said. Thuriya's mast was broken about 1,900 miles southwest of Perth, Australia "at the extreme limit of immediate rescue range," Organizers became concerned after Tomy sent a text message reading: "ROLLED. DISMASTED. SEVERE BACK INJURY. CANNOT GET UP," and then was unheard from for nearly 15 hours. In a later satellite text message, the sailor gave his location and wrote: "ACTIVATED EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon). CANT WALK. MIGHT NEED STRETCHER." The race said that subsequent messages indicated that Tomy was safe but lying immobilized in his bunk, with his latest message reading: "CAN MOVE TOES. FEEL NUMB. CAN'T EAT OR DRINK. TOUGH 2 REACH GRAB BAG." Australian authorities are sending an Anzac-class frigate, but it is expected to take four to five days to reach Tomy. I find it ironic his boat is named Thuriya -- representing the 4th state of consciousness. Dude gonna be unconscious soon if they can't get food/water to him. Crazy that they found him, but can't do shit to help him for "4 or 5 days". WTF? Seems someone would say I'll give it a go and drop into the drink with a bag of food/water for the guy, and some pain pills. Didn't we just get a group of soccer players out of a flooded cave? Shouldn't this be easier? SC

I just noticed that Sir Creep (Cancel My Appointments) has set a record that will basically never be beat or even close to equaled. This doesn't make it a good thing lol, but one for the DDP Book of Statistics! May 9 2018 - Richard Haag May 10 2018 - Larissa Podermanski BOTH List of the Lost.
