Chick-fil-A is offering free entrees to guests who show up to any of the fast food chain's 2,200 restaurants dressed like a cow. The promotion is being in conjunction with Chick-fil-A's 13th annual Cow Appreciation Day on Tuesday, July 10 (So we missed our chance). Cows have been featured in Chick-fil-A advertising for decades. They are often seen holding signs that read "Eat Mor Chikin," with the idea that encouraging people to eat chicken will stop them from eating beef. SC

They're university presidents. Don't be a fucking asshole. Someone made a thread, I populate it. you got a problem ask a Mod to delete the fucking thread. Until then pound sand up your ass. What they aren't is a high school principal. Which is what the record store owner is. Just some local dude.

NFL legend Gayle Sayers suffering from what sounds like mid-to-late term dimentia (diagnosed 4 years ago) ("His wife described the vigilance required to care for Sayers now, noting that he recently tried washing his hands with carpet cleaner."). He's 73 which is old in football player terms. Not sure if he's a 2019 candidate, but he's VERY Deathlisty. Should he scoot through 2019, if DL doesn't have him on 2020's list, fuck em. SC

Dude, leave the local stuff alone. A record store owner? Zero impact on anyone not living in San Diego. Too niche.

I had Jeremy the Chinese Crested that won an Ugliest Dog contest in Michigan. Boy that was like 25 years ago.

LOL I came to mock this guy's name but I see I already took care of that in 2017. I honestly forgot. Maybe he will boycott life itself, and do us all a favour. SC

Dave Matthews shot and killed delivering a pizza somwhere around St. Louis. SC EDIT -- OK why in all of hell would two people be 'confused'?? Did you watch the video? Mm hmm...

You realize along with Tyler Honeycutt that's two UCLA basketball suicides in four days (well ok a police standoff, call it what you will) SC

You make an excellent point as to why we shouldn't bother with a 'none of the above' choice. Excellent insight and foreknowledge. We should make note to select only centenarians or those with 'advanced terminal conditions'....just like Lord Carrington. SC

Formerly alive Ray C. Davis, the former CEO of a Houston-based technology company now known as Giant Gray Inc. — and formerly known as Behavioral Recognition Systems Inc. and BRS Labs — has died. The Houston Chronicle reports that Davis’ lawyer, Dick DeGuerin, confirmed that Davis died July 7. He was in his 60s and suffered from several serious medical conditions, per the Chronicle. Davis was facing federal charges alleging he embezzled money from his company and defrauded investors. SC

We are in the back half of the year. It's time to start offering 'none of the above' as an option, imho. Frankly I may have taken it. I don't see impending death anywhere on this panel. So left with nothing further, let's go beauty (ahem) before age. Prunella Scales. SC

Why why WHYYy.... not Lord Carrington! All those fond memories I have of thee..... This one hurts like no other.

I think the stars are aligning..... I have a premonition that I will land a daily double ND Tiwari/Kulsoom Nawaz. Dunno what day, but maybe by week's end. -
Actually cursed by me. I almost never use DL names in pools, threw Carrington's out there on a whim a couple weeks ago. Shazaam! (Edit -- only as a SUB....CURSES!)

Bradford Smith, a NASA astronomer who acted as planetary tour guide to the public with his interpretations of stunning images beamed back from Voyager missions, has died. He died Tuesday at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, of complications from myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disorder. He was 86. Smith led the NASA team that interpreted pictures taken by Voyager space probes as they passed Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune and then presented the images to the public. He was a retired professor of planetary sciences and astronomy at the University of Arizona and research astronomer at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. SC

Maybe a little misguided placement, but: Dr. Ken Ravizza, a Cal State Fullerton professor who was among the leading sports psychologists in the nation and a guru of sorts for dozens of major league baseball players, died Sunday night, six days after suffering a heart attack while driving in Orange County. He was 70. A professor of kinesiology, Ravizza taught classes at Fullerton on stress management and applied sports psychology for nearly 40 years, and his mental skills training helped the Titans baseball team and women’s gymnastics teams develop into national powers in the late 1970s and 1980s. Ravizza worked with the Angels for about 15 years, from 1985 to 2000, where he developed a close relationship with then-Angels coach Joe Maddon, who went on to become manager of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2006 and the Chicago Cubs in 2015. Not bad after two more years. Starr and Kelly can't have 12 months. Dingell who knows. Odjick probably 4 years or so. Superstar was a blowhard and I fell for his whining cunt.

More too little too late: Sir Creep sneaky pick thanks to some incredible (read: lucky) research, tractor pull Hall of Famer John Hileman (77), has died. In fact he died way back on May 29, 2018 from cancer that had been diagnosed stage 4+ earlier in March. Probably never get another tractor puller in these pages, so RIP John Hileman. You didn't go unnoticed. Mr. Hileman won five NTPA Grand National championships across the Modified and Two Wheel Drive divisions between 1978 and 1996 and was inducted into to the Pulling Hall of Fame in 2000. SC

And Al Attles lives on.... Interesting he had a heart attack May 5 and none of us noticed. Wonder how much press that event received... SC -
You have no idea the warm and fuzzy feeling in my heart and crotch I have presently after reading the tributes and accolades thrown my direction like bouquets to a gold medal figure skater. SC

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay, my, oh, my, what a wonderful day... until he died 70 years ago today. Apparently that wasn't a bluebird on his shoulder back on July 9, 1948, it was the Grim Reaper telling (Uncle Remus) James Baskett to get in his caskett.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Benjamin Cardozo died 80 years ago, age 68. Less importantly he has a law school named after him (Yeshiva Univ) More importantly he wrote landmark decisions both while a justice in New York and once he was appointed to SCOTUS that created the concept of 'proximate causation' that is followed in our negligence/tort law to this day.
