World Cup predict the scores 2018
Sir Creep replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Sometimes it's a gift. Sometimes I fucking scare myself. Couldn't be more fitting though that the Hispanic 'Russian' cost them a semi-final appearance. Cheaters never prosper. France 2 Belgium 1 -
Might be a cool twist that whoever gets the first hit next time can use that as a joker/wild card. Just a thought. SC

Jimmy Carol, meet Sean Cox. Sean....Jimmy. Yeah yeah yeah probably won't pull through.... I've heard it and heard it.

I'm as stunned as anyone. (FWIW I think it was 14 minutes old post from his wife....just SC checking on right person update being right place right time. We all know Y-Dub is king around here.)

A man came close to death Wednesday (July 4) in Tracy, California when he went to look at a car for sale parked on the street, and came face to face with an aggressive bull. It was a pain King's time in the Army didn't prepare him for. "I remember feeling the horn going through my right side and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground, close to a bush, and I crawled between the bush and the house and the bull stood over me and snorted for about 20 minutes," King told KTXL. King said his memory is hazy, but he remembers being gored twice before someone stopped and honked his horn. King said the doctor told him his belly fat saved him from even worse injury. A family member told him he had an angel there to make sure he didn't bleed to death. SC

Philippine Vice Mayor Alexander Lubigan was shot dead on Saturday by two gunmen in a van, the third official to die in the past week, according to a report by the Associated Press. Unlike the death of two mayors earlier this week, no video footage is available to the press featuring Lubigan. The Vice Mayor representing Trece Martires city was outside a hospital when he was shot. Another investigative team has been formed to find the motive and identity of the killers. No information is publicly available about whether Lubigan was tied to the drug trade. The number of officials that have died since Duterte’s presidency began in June 2016 is estimated to be at least 13. SC

OK Sweden you bastards, papa needs a goal. Ah fuhkin hell. You might suck if.... 90 min: Ludwig Augustinsson takes the free-kick and sends it screaming high over the bar. That is an awful effort. -
And Steve Ditko is being discussed in Stan Lee's thread........ why exactly?

Making a long story short, and I promise no more hi-jacking the thread, but I have the washer & dryer from the home of EJ Ourso, whom the LSU School of Business is named after. Got them (used obviously) like 9 years ago and they work great still. SC

England 2 Sweden 1 (Swedish football is like Jamaican bobsledding. Shame on your culture for allowing, if in fact this isn't an anomaly, them to become contemporaries at it. I will predict them to lose every match here on out, it's an embarrassment to the sport. What next, a successful Swedish basketball team?). Sweden is presently experiencing the two weeks they can actually play football outdoors each year. Croatia 2 Russia 2 (Russia scores at 92:05, advances in shootout). -
The L.S.U. School of Medicine is named after him.

So I went looking and still find nothing to explain who or what the health concern was about. They keep talking touring in 2019 but that’s just talk. Anyone have more insight on this?

So with nothing since this post, I rolled with Hilda Hanson's name in the ABC DP. However....it's been 18 months since this posted. 103 years old, Alzheimer's.... could she still be alive? As charon profoundly said, "obit assured". OK I'm buying that. Have a look around my peeps, you won't find an obit. The other thing you won't find is anything saying she turned 104, which I find distressing. Could she have actually died and gotten nowt for an obit? SC

Mentioned a few times probably in a few threads, and on at least 1 of my present DP teams, Barbara Barrie is 87 and in her 4th year since her Pulmonary Fibrosis diagnosis, which has a life expectancy of 'less than 5 years' typically, and seemingly less for someone in their mid 80s. But she's rolling along. Would seem her time HAS to be up inside of 12 months though. Only 'cure' is a lung transplant and no way an 87 year old will be eligible for that. Would be like giving Mickey Mantle a liver. Never happen.... SC

OK my bad. Tried to figure it out exactly....and by SEALs I meant their equipment poking about. Not one of them physically. But sounds like I was incorrect anyways. SC (Edit: OK fixed. BTW lol my post was supposed to start the thread with the backstory, now everything is akimbo).

Nigerian healer died after attempting to demonstrate the efficacy of his bulletproof charms to a client. Chinaka Adoezuwe, 26, died when he told one his clients to shoot him in an attempt to test his charms. “A young man had gone to [the healer] to prepare bulletproof charms for him, which the native doctor did. To prove the efficacy of the new charms, [he] positioned and handed over a gun to his customer. Then tragedy struck. SC

Jim Malloy, a recording engineer, publisher and producer, died Thursday. Over the course of his career — first in Hollywood, then Nashville — Malloy worked with a staggering list of legends, including Elvis Presley (who called him the "best engineer anywhere as far as I'm concerned"), Duke Ellington, Johnny Cash, Henry Mancini and Dolly Parton. Mega Records President Brad McCuen, left, and producer Jim Malloy flank singer Sammi Smith at a party June 28, 1971, in her honor on the side wheeler Belle Carol. The party was held to commemorate Smith's smash hit recording of Kris Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night." Kristofferson, touring the Northeast, sent a dozen yellow roses. He won a Grammy Award in 1964 for engineering Mancini's "Charade" and was nominated for five more Grammys that decade for his work on Presley's "How Great Thou Art," Eddy Arnold's "The Last Word in Lonesome is Me," "The Latin Sound of Henry Mancini," "Pink Panther" and "The Addams Family Main Theme."
