I'll have to rest on the laurels of back-to-back come from behind victories in April and May against two incredibly strong players in Joey and Dead Cow. Ted Dabney still reverberates around these halls a bit. And having to pick Tom Benson, owner of my NOrleans Saints, well.... proves we have to set aside personal feelings and use our heads vs hearts. And found out my (2nd cousin) was friends with Bernie DeKoven thanks to me saying he was going to die, which sadly he did. An interesting few months. I promised myself I would get back into my genealogy research after I got the quick boot from the Cup, so I could focus on that. Then it was like if your phone falls to the passenger side floor and all you want is a red stop light to reach over and retrieve it, and you keep getting green lights...of all the rotten luck lol. Anyway, time to sign up to Ancestry again and get back at it. SC

Fair to say this death pool is fixed then.

I left him out of my ABC DP team. Never even considered him when I got Jose Jose for J and the oldest living person for M. McCain isn't in as bad a shape as either of them two. I can see him living 12 months yet. Wouldn't bet my life on it, but I wouldn't be astounded. SC

Wouk = JJackson Hume = Cappotelli Littlefeather = Butts ( I think my 4th sub was Simonton, after that who knows, I kept filling in names as I went lol) I paid little attention to the subs after I posted them a week ago, I'd have never listed the ones I did with new information the last 4-5 days of June. Alas.... Well, maybe I've been directed by the Fickle Finger of Fate (and DP Gods) that Wouk-Hume-Littlefeather are going west soon. SC

"Six decades after being told her mother was dead, she found her - 80 minutes away and 100 years old." Even SirC can post a feel good story once in a while. Get your kleenex handy. SC

Amy Grant's father Dr. Burton Grant died shortly after 12 p.m. Saturday following an extended illness, according to family friend Steve Brumfield. Mr. Grant was at his Nashville home surrounded by family when he passed away. Dr. Grant, an oncologist, was 86. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Dean Napier Grant, who died in 2011. SC -
Interesting name. I had an 8th grade social studies teacher (great guy fwiw) named Sherwood. He would probably be around 85 too if alive. Can't be many of those roaming the earth.

So us folk sitting in eastern Texas are breathing wind and dust from the Sahara Desert yesterday and today. How exciting! SC

Spain 1 Russia 1 (yeah it's 5 minutes in and no score, let's see how anal we are...) Croatia 1 Denmark 2 in a stunner. OK how do ties work in this thing? Just a tie i reckon. I said 1-1 before thinking about it. -
Your reboots are astounding today.

I find not a single thing sacrosanct about the original list. Can we lop off the dead weight and launch a literally updated list and stop calling the list updated when it contains 60% dead people. Thank you in advance for your common sense. SC

so a 'best of' shadow lists then...

All this talk has me concerned you folks don’t like Arabic food, baba ganoush in particular, and should all be pithed.

I almost rolled with Sfeir on my Cup teams a couple times. He’s not DL material though.

I can honestly say I don’t understand this thread or how it works since it was launched. Every post since then has made it clear as mud. That is all. SC lol
