Couldn't find yesterday's post re: Trump Tower fire.....deleted? A 67-year-old man has died after a fire broke out at his apartment on the 50th floor of Trump Tower in New York. Some 200 firefighters battled the blaze at the skyscraper in Manhattan on Saturday evening, with the apartment said to be "virtually entirely on fire" when they arrived. Art dealer Todd Brassner was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died. SC

He received a master's in organic chemistry from the school in 1952. He joined Harwick (now Harwick Standard Distribution Corp.) in 1965 as manager of new product development. Another fine installment! Dr. Carl O. Westbrook, president emeritus of Connors State College and decorated World War II veteran, died March 30, in Tulsa. He was 95 years old. Born on Oct. 25, 1922, Westbrook was raised in Houston and graduated from Aldine High School. Westbrook joined the Navy and was stationed in Pearl Harbor and the Pacific Theater during World War II. While in the Navy, he also claimed the featherweight title in the Golden Gloves. He was honorably discharged in 1946. As the 13th president of Connors State College, Westbrook grew the enrollment of the college from 900 to 2,500 students, launched innovative new programs in nursing, equine technology and child development, opened a branch campus in Muskogee, saw the school win two national championships in men’s and women’s basketball and acquired a 1,300-acre ranch that today stands as a living laboratory for research and learning opportunities for students. At the time of his retirement, Connors State was the largest non-urban junior college in Oklahoma. Pretty interesting character, actually. SC

Actually the next few sentences (of the story) I chopped off went into small detail of what their next steps were, not sure if that'll help, but in the end rich people write laws that benefit the rich, not En Passant or Sir Creep.

The Repository in Canton reports Regula died Thursday, eight months after her husband, former U.S. Rep. Ralph Regula, passed away in July at age 92. Sheila Link, a former college music major and bass player who transformed her life to pursue altogether different passions — firearms and the outdoors — becoming a noted authority on both, died on March 30 at her home in Palm Desert, Calif. She was 94. The cause was pneumonia. As a sportswoman, hunter and raconteur, Mrs. Link channeled her enthusiasms into leading gun-safety workshops and arduous survival expeditions along with writing books and magazine articles, including a column in Women & Guns magazine. I used to subscribe to that. No wait...that was Women WITH Guns SC (Now she's the missing Link!)

La Wilson, an enigmatic assemblage artist who took ordinary objects — from dice, plastic forks and alphabet blocks to bullet casings, fake guns and jewelry — and arranged them in boxes, giving them enthralling new life, died on March 30 in Hudson, Ohio, a suburb of Akron. She was 93. The cause was most likely complications of two recent strokes. SC

For completeness, I've posted the death of Susan Anspach elsewhere -- and though she is not on the original list posted above, she certainly portrayed the counterculture in her movie roles, and deserves a shout out here. SC
