Kenny Meyer, the New Jersey man who in July made headlines as he became the world's oldest skydiver (at age 102), died Tuesday. Meyer, who was a car salesman for 47 years at Norris Chevrolet in Westfield, passed away Dec. 5. On July 27, Meyer took the jump that earned him the Guinness Book of World Record holder for oldest person to skydive. SC

Jerome Crowe, a former L.A.-based FBI agent who delivered the ransom money in the Frank Sinatra Jr. kidnapping and led a SWAT team in the bloody SLA shootout (that's Patty Hearst), has died after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. A lifelong law enforcement officer who is credited with assembling the FBI's first SWAT team in Los Angeles, Crowe died Nov. 26 in Hawthorne. He was 93.
