I figured immediately it was a suicide (we have a terribly under-utilized thread for that btw) when the gutless BBC didn't present a cause of death for a 39-year old athlete. Gutless. Kudos to the DM (I didn't open the other two links). SC

I hadn't realized that. I hadn't realized TF left the group for that matter. But still....what's the purpose of deleting old posts? The personal time involved in doing so seems outrageous vs the satisfaction of the final result. I mean, if you're moving on, move on. SC

The reports of his death seemed fuzzy.

An iconic Carlsbad (NM) cow is no longer looking over people in town. The cow statue has sat on top of Lakeside Meats Butcher Shop for decades, but it was no match for a Tuesday morning fire. The fiberglass cow was destroyed, a disappointment to many, especially the kids. Authorities suspect lightning was the cause of the fire. The fire was contained to the cow. SC -
Still trying to figure out the impetus for taking the time to actually remove every post of Vaagheid's. Was that done by the Admins, or by Vaagheid. If the former, they need help. If the latter, he REALLY needed help. SC

Rory Feek, one half of the Grammy-winning country duo Joey + Rory, announced on Tuesday that he will perform publicly for the first time since his wife Joey died last year to raise funds for the Music Health Alliance, a nonprofit that helped his family with insurance and medical bills. The Academy of Country Music-winning duo stopped performing when Joey’s cancer returned in 2015, although the couple recorded a gospel album in between her chemotherapy treatments. The album, “Hymns,” won best gospel roots album this year at the Grammys. Joey died on March 4, 2016, at the age of 40. SC

Before the Missouri man died earlier this month with his wife of 77 years holding his hand, Raymond Breuer remarked to a nurse that if his spouse passed away about that time they should be buried in the same casket. Velva Breuer passed away 30 hours after her husband’s death Aug. 4, and Raymond’s wish came true. The Breuers, in a single casket and holding hands, were buried Friday near their parents and other relatives near St. James. Raymond lived to be 97, Velva 96. That's a little creepy, even for Sir Creep SC

I only listen to a few non-(U.S.)football-related podcasts. Here are two featured ones. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/irish-history-podcast/id363368392?mt=2 http://reasonabledoubtpodcast.com/ BTW I brought up the other day my thinking of doing a DP podcast. I did find one that exists, but they only tape it every couple months. I want to do a weekly one. SC
