He is on my Gris Gris team (that wasn't accepted this year a-hem). He had a huge drinking problem some time ago so no doubt it's self induced. He was supposed to be clean in recent years (meaning 3 or so) but the damage musta been done, which is why despite being only 61 or so, he made my cut. So now the gig is up. Thanks for telling everyone. SC -
Dude seriously? You reposted my video a mere 10 posts above yours. SMH SC

Seeing as it was Campbell who was my 20th DDP name that I inserted when I gave John Wetton the ill-advised boot, there is ever-so-slight vindication for Cancel My Appointments. SC

Wichita Lineman too. He certainly had a few. Southern Nights was a big hit but hokey. Like John Denver in a way, same niche..... and Denver's 'Thank God I'm A Country Boy' hokey shlock that interfered with an otherwise talented ouvre. SC

There's this ridiculous but fitting album cover. Too soon? SC

Beaten by 9 minutes RIP Mr. Campbell.

Texas Tech walk-on quarterback Luke Gonsioroski has died of cancer at the age of 18. Texas Tech football announced Gonsioroski's death on Twitter. Gonsioroski committed to Texas Tech in January. He began undergoing chemotherapy treatments in March 2016. He was declared cancer-free following two rounds of chemotherapy but underwent surgery three months later to remove the tumor which Kusek described as being "roughly the size of two footballs." (Sorry for the massive photo....ah well, screw it).

#39: Single mother-of-three, Leeanne Ericson, survived a shark attack by gouging out the animal's eyes until it let her go. The attack left Ericson in critical condition, with a massive piece of her right thigh missing. She was placed in a medically-induced coma but has since recovered and stabilized. ...Medical doctors later said that Ericson's lungs were inundated with water and pieces of her own flesh which she accidentally inhaled. Her condition is known as “dry drowning”, which is a form of non-fatal respiratory impairment. SC

Assuming you're either both young or and ignorant.... yes, it takes the lungs about 3-4 years to fully recover from the grime of smoking, and I mean recover fully. I just had chest x-rays 18 months ago and the x-ray tech said I had the 'biggest clean lungs' she had seen. I told her that is interesting seeing as I smoked from age 13-34 (I'm 54). I won't bore you with the whole conversation but suffice she confirmed the above info. SC

Richard Dudman, a much-traveled reporter for The St. Louis Post-Dispatch who spent more than a month in captivity in Cambodia after being ambushed by Vietcong fighters and later survived an assassination attempt after meeting the Cambodian dictator Pol Pot, died on Thursday in Blue Hill, Me. He was 99. SC (Edit: The photo attached has the three freed journalists. Two of which--the males--are now dead. Elizabeth Pond is 80).

So let me get this straight, newbie. You're listing people who are on the list as possibilities to be put on the list? I know I know: yes

Along those lines, my daughter is a month away from 7, and has yet to have even a wiggly tooth. At what point do I take her to a maxillofacial specialist to have all her teeth taken out by force and child dentures put in? SC

Jessy Serrata, a celebrated Tejano singer known as Mr. Iron Throat, died Friday morning. Serrata was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer in April. His right kidney was eventually removed. He was released home in July from Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. He often uttered his trademark phrase, "Awww, baby," during live performances to express excitement. His 2004 album "Better Than Ever" earned a 2004 Latin Grammy nomination. SC

Ted Stanley, an anesthesiologist and medical entrepreneur who, with a colleague, created the fentanyl lollipop, a palatable means of delivering a synthetic opioid analgesic, mostly to cancer patients, died on July 13 in Salt Lake City. He was 77. The cause was complications of prostate cancer, according to the University of Utah, where Dr. Stanley conducted research for 50 years and which, along with him and his drug company, reaped millions of dollars in profits from his discovery. Though prescribed primarily in cancer treatment, the fentanyl-laced lollipop, a sugary, fruit-flavored confection on a plastic stick, has also been used to relieve migraine and cluster headaches, severe back and bone pain, arthritis, and other chronic conditions. "Award-winning artist, painter and printmaker Francesca Lowe, 37, was collapsed at home in Stoke Newington, north London, by her fellow artist husband Gavin Nolan, an inquest heard." Now dammit, that sounds like a murder-suicide. She was collapsed 'by her fellow artist'. Is the word FOUND missing, or is that a stilted Brit way of saying things, as in 'she went to hospital' vs 'the hospital'? Anyway....let's continue.... "She had undergone a cardiogram for a heart murmur just weeks before her husband found her on January 23rd this year, the inquest heard. In the two days before her death she had caught the winter vomiting bug norovirus. In a short witness statement read to the court by the Coroner, Mr Nolan said: ‘I woke up and went to the toilet and saw Francesca there. There was vomit in the toilet and I touched her and she was cold." So it wasn't a murder-suicide, but by golly, being 6-months pregnant, it WAS a two-for-one after all! SC

True. But it was their music that dragged me into gay dance clubs, and I'm neither gay nor can I dance. But I DO enjoy a man buying me a drink. Goddammit Lardy, I'm JUST LIKE YOU! SC
