    Shove Off, Eh?

Canadian rugby coach Ric Suggitt, who guided national teams on both side of the border, has died. He was 58. Suggitt, head coach of the women's team at the University of Lethbridge, died Tuesday from a medical complication. Suggitt, who joined Rugby Canada in 1999, coached the Canadian men at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He also coached the Canadian men's sevens team. On the women's side, he guided the senior 15s team and under-19 and under-23 programs. The Edmonton native led the U.S. women's sevens team from 2010 through the end of the 2014-15 World Series season, helping the side qualify for the Rio Olympics and to a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games where it lost 55-7 to Canada in the final. The original 'nature boy' of wrestling, Buddy Rogers, died this day in 1992, age 71. (25 years ago) As stated on Wiki: "He was set to wrestle yet another "Nature Boy", this time Buddy Landel, in a comeback match for the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance in early 1992, but the promotion went out of business and the match never occurred. Later in the year, Rogers.....suffered three strokes....was put on life support and died a short time afterward on June 26, 1992." In 1992 Buddy Rogers was 70-71 yrs old. Buddy Landel was 31. What kind of fucking wrestling promotion was THAT supposed to be? SC

#28: I don't know how many wrongs make a right, but we now know that 6 rights make a wrong. Since June 7, six North Atlantic right whales have been found dead, floating in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, in a loss that amounts to more than one per cent of the population of the endangered species. The whales were all found in the area between New Brunswick's Miscou Island, Quebec's Magdalen Islands and northern P.E.I. To put that into context, if one per cent of humans were to die, that would be over 75 million people. SC

#27: Save the 'Crunchy Frog' resets. Well, ok, go for it. Officials with the BJ's Restaurants chain said they're investigating how a dead frog wound up in a diner's salad at one of the company's locations in West Covina. Shawna Cepeda posted a picture of her salad with a frog that appeared to be the size of two croutons in a Yelp review on June 14. Cepeda couldn't be reached Saturday, but in her Yelp post she said she ate at the restaurant the previous night and ordered a side salad. SC #27-1: A McDonald’s customer took a bite into a Chicken Legend Burger only to chow down on a dead moth. And now for something completely different:

    Doctor Doctor

Dr. Lawrence L. Weed, who introduced a system for organizing patient data in the 1950s that is now used in hospitals all over the world, and who led the way in developing a computerized method for aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, died on June 3 at his home in Underhill, Vt. He was 93. He created the problem-oriented medical record, or POMR, a way of recording and monitoring patient information. Two of its features have become universal in health care: the compiling of problem lists and the SOAP system for writing out notes in a patient chart. SOAP stands for subjective, objective, assessment and plan, reflecting the steps that doctors and other health care providers should follow as they move from an initial patient encounter to tests, diagnosis and treatment. #26: One of the peregrine falcons born in Kalamazoo (MI) this spring has died. The male peregrine falcon flew into a bank of windows at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine and died Sunday, June 18. The bird was being treated for being a dumbass weak flier at Braveheart Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Twin Lake, and had been released back in Kalamazoo Friday, June 16. Flew into a medical building...Ironic Animal Deaths new category. SC

Only Famous For Being Ill And Dying

Immense odds for an obit -- being American doesn't help -- but Camille Chabot, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin’s lymphoma just before starting her sophomore year at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, has now beaten cancer twice to graduate on time. I only post this here cuz it's being written up in People Magazine, taking her outside 'nobody' status. Still, a UK obit is a 0.0000000001 chance.....kinda like Camille reaching 30. SC
