Bill Dineen, the hockey icon who played with and later coached Gordie Howe, has died. He was 84. Dineen, born in Arvida, Quebec, played 324 games in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, winning two Stanley Cup championships in Detroit alongside Gordie Howe. So how the hell you got 2200 unless the other 8 all died since October? My Joker died in October that's a pretty good call. Looks like I gotta hope the conjoined twins die on Christmas lol. SC

Add something like "-Feek" to your query to eliminate those. I can't do a Stage 4 cancer search without 30% Big Ang articles, it helps to eliminate that crap. -
Where to begin---though I see it's begun already. Let's not forget Alfred Nobel got the prize of death - 120 years ago Luigi Pirandello would win a Nobel Prize (literature) - 80 years Pitching great Walter Johnson - 70 years (same day as Runyon) And has it really been 14 years since we lost Ian MacNaughton? Jeesh

Trio and Error - Trio (the whole gdamn album) Bulletproof - La Roux (just put it on an endless loop) Technotronic - again, whole album, but the hits primarily Pump Up the Volume / This Beat is Technotronic etc F*** The Pain Away/Downtown/etc - Peaches (seeing as GCR brought her up the other day, I actually like a few of her mindless songs) All best listened to on my Beats and not publicized. I should list a pile of songs I absolutely love and have listened to no less than 100x but have no clue what the lyrics are. Now THAT'S embarrassing! Maybe I'm just shite at remembering lyrics. Look here, it's a free world and I guess anyone can enjoy whatever they like so long as it doesn't harm anyone else, but don't think you can escape criticism. Barbie Girl? You've spoken volumes about yourself.SC -
Biggest 'miss(es)' by the DL Committee 2016
Sir Creep replied to Sir Creep's topic in DeathList Forum
Joey is right though -- although too many to mention, true dat, when you have a 95-year old astronaut vs a good 5-6 truly awful selections by the committee then it's a fairly good size miss, even without medical reasons. Pat Harrington remains the biggest gaff IMHO, but that requires some of you to think back to the first 10 days of the year and well.....that may be expecting a lot. Big comedic star guaranteed to die before Valentine's Day, and instead the Committee gives us Randi and Chong. As if. SC -
I haven't really put this one into perspective, but Glenn was a true American hero for sure. Moreso to my parents generation than mine, as I was more Neil Armstrong than Glenn who was before my time. But a damn solid man and Godspeed to you Mr. Glenn. SirC

Wilford Brimley has diabeetus! Came across this interesting tidbit re: Brimley, who I always had in the back of my mind as a name to watch. This makes him sound healthy as a horse. A fat horse. SC http://www.sltrib.com/news/3897197-155/heart-device-that-wilford-brimley-says

Peaches, the electroclash singer?Peaches Geldof? Edit: Goddamnit, I forgot Peaches Geldof is dead. As for my own shortlist, I find it terribly conventional right now. But I want to avoid last year's mistake and take out Mark Farren and Pearl Washington in the last week for terminally ill but hardly notable people. I will channel these instincts into my B team. I think my team can hardly be improved anymore though I have to edu-cate myself some more. Just yesterday I started going through my longlist and found out that a DDP regular and very early entry into my list, is going South. As is his/her obitability though. Francine "Peaches" Hurd Barker of Peaches and Herb is also dead. A cursed name? "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb is dead. -

First go-through of names - and even that isn't complete - and I've 200+ names lmao. And that isn't cancer mums and survivors etc. that's just names from our 2017 Watch list here and a few dozen I'd written down otherwise. SC -
Just discovered that in Sabine Parish, LA, we have something called the Cockfield Aquifer. Not sure I want my thirst quenched from liquid emanating from the Cockfield. SC

I'm reporting Greg Lake's death (King Crimson; ELP) where it belongs. And will continue to do so ad infinitum. Huge RIP to a fantastic voice and prof rocker extraordinaire. Carl Palmer is all that's left of ELP but the destruction that is 2016 isn't over. Could they all go inthe same calendar year?? SirCreep http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-38251936

Just listened to an NPR report about how Dole has been very active in facilitating communications between the Phillipines and Donald Trump during his campaign and since. Thus he is presently active and lucid and likely not on the ropes. I'd get him the hell off of DL for 2017. SC
