George Everest went from the highest high to the lowest low 150 years ago.

So basically no changes then. Looks like we will all be picking a bunch more nobodies and cancer mums so long as death awaits them. It's kinda sad you let the list of sources dictate 'fame' instead of common sense. And if there is no element of fame involved, why are we doing this? My team will start off with whatever is left from Shameless and build from there. SC

So with a month to go who would be your vote for biggest shock on List of the Lost? I will still say Kitty Kallen's absence in the U.K. media outlets remains a mystery. Piet de Jong gets a tip o the cap as well, I mean he was only a neighbouring PM after all. Total disrespect. Those are my top 2. SC

Don't forget Ray Columbus for Sir Creep. Lost track of hits but that's about 24 so I'm closing in. Need Emma to drop dead before 2017.

Wow. I had him penciled in for 'watch this guy for 2018' now not so sure. SC

Wayne Smith forged an improbable path toward Canadian Football League stardom. Smith, who died at home in Halifax on the weekend at age 66, had limited experience when he stepped into the CFL and went on to win two Grey Cup championships with the Ottawa Rough Riders. Well if you're buying in on those folks you got Lynne Stewart and Sal DiMisi. They don't tend to die due to immediate illness, how long did we wait for Howard Marks? I wish you well my friend.SC

Fidel is dead, but Raúl isn't. At 85, he himself is getting old, and in time could replace his brother on the list. He's nowhere near as charismatic or interesting, but he's still highly obitable as Cuba's all powerful president. And his death might mark the end of an era, since he's the last man standing from the winning team of the Cuban revolution (Cienfuegos and Che Guevara were killed decades ago). While Fidel's death had high symbolic significance, Raúl's death or resignation might pave the way for a democratic revolution. Or a civil war. Of course you baited that tiny mind, who ran off and started a Raul thread. Way to go.

So we are allowing the Asif's of the world still? I hope all rules are updated and posted in full on the appropriate threads sometime soon. SC -
So, How's Your 2017 Shortlist Looking?

Going over some names and Sir Creep predicts the #1 most overrated overused name (i.e. The first name he will be putting in Drop 40) is John Hurt. If you have one iota of respect for your efforts and/or lists, Sir Creep strongly advises against this name as any part of either. -
You can defy the United States for 50 years, but no one--and I mean NO ONE--defies us for 51 years! SC

Former national goalkeeper Lim Chiew Peng died on Sunday (Nov 27) after losing his fight with cancer. The 65-year-old was warded at Singapore General Hospital. He was Singapore’s first-choice goalkeeper during the early 1970s and was part of the team that won the 1977 Malaysia Cup. Ignorant why are you berating everyone who posts Ron Glass's death? If they say something this goddamn ignorant then yes. He's probably the second biggest death of the year right behind that whopper Castro as well. SC

Maybe, but it's worth remembering the underlying cause is a lot of celebrities ageing. Celebrities aren't going to suddenly stop ageing. I wouldn't be surprised if by 2019 one high profile death a day is considered normal with even the likes of McCartney and Mick Jagger being consigned to the end of news bulletins. Did you just post 'ageing'? Twice? If that's ok to the British, it's fucked. SC

Didn't star much in Star Trek according to Google but twitter trending has him as a star trek actor! Mm hmm nice attempt at a recovery
