http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8629&p=248271 Well RadGuy, since you asked.... Here's an historical list of all the Canadian Lieutenant Governors by province. Here's some very old folks (90+) worth noting***: British Columbia: None Alberta: None Saskatchewan: None Ontario: None Quebec: 28 Mar 1984 - 9 Aug 1990 Colonel The Honourable Gilles Lamontagne (b. 1919) Nova Scotia: None New Brunswick: 20 Aug 1987 - 21 Jun 1994 The Honourable Gilbert Finn (b. 1920) DIED JAN 7 2016! He'll definitely obit, phantasm is a cult flim and his tall man character is a well known horror icon and to top this all off he is a British actor. So yes I think he'll obit. Wow ye of little faith. I keep hearing doubts as to the UK providing an obit for so many folks, when truth be told it cant be but maybe 20% of the iffy ones that fail. Angus Scrimm is guaranteed to obit. Why on earth wouldn't he? There is certainly some question as to someone with the initials A.S. getting an obit in the coming days, but Scrimm isn't that person. Andrew Smith is. SC

Agreed. I've never felt much of anything for the people we post, save for a couple that impacted me. But this is the first one that it is killing me to watch. Finding out the child is a Down's baby was the topper. I can't express the absolute pain Rory Feek must be going through -- 2 years ago he and his wife making albums, going to red carpet affairs, and having a child on the way. 2 years later his wife is about to die, the band is no more, and he has a lifetime of being a single parent. Just awful awful awful. Sucks. If I was new to DPing I may have quit, this story is gut-wrenching. SC

    Animal Antics

The last of the remaining members of Alberta Fish and Wildlife’s first pair of bear management dogs has died at the age of 15. Kuma the Karelian Bear Dog was one of Canada’s first dogs assigned to track and direct bears. Alongside his brother, Mica – who died at the age of 10 – Kuma assisted Fish and Wildlife officers in southern Alberta with keeping wildlife from wandering into dangerous scenarios for both the animals and the human population. Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

A memorial service for former local sports franchise holder Eli Jacobson has been set for Jan. 17 at the B’Nai Zion Temple, according to his wife, Pat Lindsey. Jacobson, 69, brought a Continental Basketball Association team with him from Columbus, Ohio, in 1994. The Shreveport Crawdads, which became the Shreveport Storm, lasted two seasons SC Edit: "“Eli got stage 4 bedsores, lost the use of his legs and then had his colon and rectum removed,” Lindsey said. “He was in and out of the hospital or nursing home for most of the last 10 months. The wound was a big factor in his death". Egad! I wouldn't wish that nastiness on my worst enemy. Dr. Zorders maybe

    American Football Players

Bart Starr (Packers QB great) recovering from a broken hip! Dammit I dropped him from all leagues this year. That's the death knell and he's falling apart. It's actually an interersting display of how these new injections that Starr, Howe, John Brodie, etc have received that allowed them to go from near death to leading a normal old person's life. I've been waiting to see the shelf life of those injections. If Starr (the first of the bunch to receive them) drops later this year, that is about 1.5-2.5 years life expectancy. Meaning Gordie Howe is gold for 2017 if he makes it. SC

Geoffrey Robinson isn't going anywhere 2016. I'll fly you to his funeral if he does, but you have to fly me to shake his hand on New Year's Day 2017 if he doesn't. Sounds a fair cop. SC

Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

John Johnson, a two-time All-Star forward with the Cleveland Cavaliers who helped the Seattle SuperSonics win the 1979 NBA title, has died. He was 68. Cause of death 'unknown', seems to be the cause of a fair number of folks. SC

    Didn't Wake Up This Morning...

Dude, nowhere does it say the word 'legend'. Never heard of this cat. Don't embellish the dead. Do you consider this a write-up of a 'legend'? Five sentences?SC Fine. Some random guy from Chicago threw in the towel. He also sang and shit. Better? Hey RadGuy you wanna ease up on the signature or we gotta scroll through it all of 2016? SC

Eh? Sorry phone touchpad broke. in quick if a candidates cv statement has company applied for in would it increase odds of interview Eh? Morbidkid, can you translate this for us please? Not sure how you work in the company name you are applying to in your CV. I always have a cover letter that has a physical address and contact person/Dept even if an online posting asking it to be sent to HR dotcom. Shows I took the time to learn something about them. Ok if so it (cancer etc) didn't pop up whilst Googling around. Only medical anything I found was 1993 lol. I figure there's a reason...but I didn't see it. SC Edit: if you mean this: https://www.gofundme.com/pc62tqxk then let's hope whoever Kathy Kerley (unverified by FB) is legit, as it's the sole mention of Halpin's 'cancer' on the Web. Spade looking good seeing as Kerley's funding page in 3 months has only netted $1100 of the $25000 needed to save his life!

You think John Jay Hooker will obit? I'm willing to take a chance on a 27 year old, with that kind of payoff (Andrew Smith). But for a 90+ year old? Well you must be confident. He's a perfect Deathrace, but here, I left him off. Not even sure he will see the NYTimes much less BBC. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. SC

Says he needs a kidney transplant. If it gets down to it, I'll donate the damned thing to win. SC Hey Spade -- you've a dynamite team, so this name seems out of place, cuz not a medical thing wrong with either I've found. Not sure if this is Luke Halpin the child actor from Flipper, or the bluegrass singer who performs with his wife (think Rory Feek). If it's yet a THIRD Luke Halpin, Please advise -- well, advise those who need to know. Perhaps you are a fan of Flipper reruns on Netflix, or maybe you just like to think about topless underage blonde males stroking a dampened bottlenose. Not that there's anything wrong with that. SC
