His goal was to develop the film industry in Belize by producing more films in the country, making Belize more accessible to the international film industry and bringing more attention to the country through its new film industry. In a shocking turn of events, the 37-year-old filmmaker from Gatineau, Canada, Matthiew Klinck was found stabbed to death outside his home in Belize Monday evening in what is being called a robbery. That video is going to be the best thing posted on DL this year! "my family and I decided it best that I take advantage of a relatively new technology called an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), which if successful could extend my life expectancy by years." Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the LVAD three days later. Back to the drawing board. SC

No. No, they don't. I'm not likely to win the DDP these days (I did come third once, and briefly led the board for a short thrilling time ) but I would gain no satisfaction from doing well with such picks. There is still plenty of interest in playing with what I consider to be acceptable picks. I agree with Spade. I made 3-4 picks strictly for defensive purposes 'in case' a young person croaks, I'll be damned if I'm going to fall behind 10 points (see: John Bain). I have zero expectations of their deaths. But if you're playing to win you can't simply rely on your own data, you gotta give some respect to the hoi poloi. SC
