This ain't a chat room, mate. Feel free to do so in the 'Possibilities' thread. Presumably maybe and no seasoned vet is going to take a flyer on her just cuz she visits rehab every 18 months. Well someone might but sure as hell not me. I actually did two years ago, proving I was a novice rookie. SirC

Damn. Seriously I'd have had FIVE hits in the first three weeks or less if we'd have started mid-Nov. there'll be no such luck in January all the good ones are dying. SC

Exactly 100 years ago this very day (19-Dec) a physician named Aloysius Alzheimer would die, leaving as his legacy his surname attached to a disease which had been called presenile dementia. Mr Alzheimer's cause of death? You guessed it: heart failure after complications from rhuematic fever. SC

Veteran radio and television personality Tan Swee Leong died from rectal carcinoma, or rectal cancer, at about 5am yesterday. He was 77. I'll first answer Morbidkids morbid curiosity by saying yes I believe in God and am always taken aback at the absolutism of ridiculous comments like that of Terry Pratchett above that says it's either/or with science and God. I find those (and of course I'm speaking to 97% of the populace) who can't find juxtaposition between science and God as small-minded and static. I'd suggest--as to creationism--that Pratchett watch the movie God Is Dead (who's Producer died of ALS this year as we discussed his obitability). Oh wait he can't he's dead. Anyway it provides a plausible explanation that allows science and God (Biblical explanation) to co-exist, and in fact support each other. That said, if this Canadian is correct about a Mantis God, it could throw a monkey wrench into the discussion. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/article/canadian-man-encounters-praying-mantis-entity/ SirC

Dirtracer18 I know you're new here so just a heads up, we got the 'Fringes of Fame' thread that would probably be a better spot for family members of the famous. It's pretty popular so you'll see it often enough. As for Bobby Allison, looks like he can finally make the rounds. SC

Not wanting to attract the glass house comment but quality is preferable to quantity Sir C. I for one do not want to hear about every US person who has ever pulled on a sports shirt who has sadly passed. Maybe if you ran that game you suggested it would keep you fully occupied. (I do like many of your posts but I skip an awful lot) Fair enough, but I don't think I've presented that in my posts. That said please feel free to erase US and insert UK in particular TV shows (and actors therein) I've never heard of and politicians ditto. SC And I get 'likes' 17% of the time. Not including the one you'll give me for this post Bibliogryphon :-) SC

We starting in January then? I dare say I'll be using quite similar lists for this and DDP as I'm little concerned with the 'obitableness' for DDP. SC

10 years ago a heart attack would bring a very untimely end to actor John Spencer and, for all intents and purposes, the incredible show he was cast on (and the storyline had him taking over the show, so....), The West Wing. God I miss that show. SC
