I guess that's good news for him and his family. All of the interviewees in the report seem quite optimistic (perhaps overly optimistic) about his prognosis, so we can be reasonably sure that he'll at least make the starting line in 2016 (and he's not a dead cert next year either). But despite all the optimism, an inoperable cancer in the brain usually presents significant challenges for the oncologists (due to the importance and sensitivity of the brain and the blood-brain barrier), so he could still be considered for the main list. At his age, and being such a high-profile figure, he shouldn't be considered for the list, he IS on next year's list, and likely at #1 position. Well, I do agree that he should be put on the list. But since I'm a polite guy, I formulated my position as a suggestion rather than as a demand. After all, it lies with the honourable DeathList committee to decide who should and shouldn't be on the list. I was just a little worried that they might be dissuaded from including him by the prognoses of the (renowned but likely cautiously optimistic) cancer specialists in the article. E. g. Basically, what she's implying is while his condition is likely incurable, he might still have a life expectancy of one to two years (as opposed to just months). The operative word being 'might'. He could have a life expectancy of 1.3 years from diagnosis and still be necessary on a 2016 list. Suffice he's going on mine, for those who believe they have 20 more worthy candidates, leave him off your list. SC

New Here And Just Saying Hello
Sir Creep replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
WOO HOO!! It's my 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY on DL!! It'll be interesting to see who joins in the next couple months and what role they'll play. Last year, I was first to the party but Dec/Jan (2014-15) saw Sir Creep, BuriedInCarolina, Gossip Gabe, RadGuy, and of course YoungWillz all join and become major contributors (please pardon if I forgot someone). Hopefully we will gain a few more like that during the turning of the calendar this year. Until then, I'm going to party and salute a great year on DL. SCreep -
OK I re-posted this and straightened it out a bit, but sadly other than some explanations as to who is whom, it remains the same. Maybe my re-posting it will spell the demise of a major player (Norman Lear?) as I publish it. It did wonders for Bud Yorkin inside of an hour. SC

Joseph B. Richey, who founded Invacare Corp with A. Malachi Mixon, died of cancer Nov. 23, according to relatives. Richey, who went by J.B. to friends and family, was 79. He was an inventor and innovator known worldwide for developing the first commercially available full-body CAT scan machine. Richey held numerous patents. Richey was instrumental in the development of an oxygen system at Invacare that allows customers to refill oxygen cylinders at home instead of waiting for deliveries. He also helped develop gearless-brushless motors and digital controls for power wheelchairs, which revolutionized power wheelchair performance. You just know him Joey Feek,Howard Marks,Kris Travis etc will all die Dec 20th ish to send teams scrambling Who the hell is Kris Travis....should I be paying more attention here? It's, um you know, one of those guys who runs around in brightly coloured tights and engages in sweaty grappling with other men in the hope of picking up chicks. You guys invented it. Spade Cooley needs him to die in the hope of being able to pick up chicks by telling them about his "DDP three-peat". I've been able to pick up chicks by merely mentioning I know Spade Cooley of DDP fame. SC

I know there's a time difference between the U.K. and the U.S. but I didn't realise it is 30 years. Yup, was looking at another person from 1930 and forgot what I was doing. Condolences to the Wilde estate.

Unless he gives up his seat it's useless to us. I guess he's indirectly responsible for fewer deaths than Ian Duncan Smith. And obviously the future deaths Cameron will be responsible for in due course. He's useless to me even if he does give up his seat, whilst wearing a DL2015 shirt he bought on this site. SC

Quite a phrase "lovably corrupt". They do love him here in da bayou. He no sooner got out of federal prison than he was welcomed back with open arms and he wrote an autobiography that was an instant best seller, around these parts at least. SChttp://www.edwinedwardsbooks.com And comments therein.... When born on the bayou, you can get away with anything, unless you are David Vitter Don't kid yourself, he's about to become our next Governor (smfh) SC

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Sir Creep replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
How is Cher at death's door exactly? I can name 30 women who are 90-92. Tell me why you've singled out Eva Marie Saint. Unsupported posts like this make me melancholy, I can't stand stream of consciousness as a DL selection technique. Might just as well leave Doris Day on the list and be done with it. SC -

Former cruiserweight boxing champion O’Neil “Supernova” Bell was shot to death during a robbery as he exited a public transit bus in Atlanta early on Wednesday, police said. An officer found Bell, 40, lying in the street, Atlanta police said. Another man nearby had also been shot but survived. The survivor, who was taken to a local hospital, told police he and Bell were shot after first being robbed when they stepped off the bus. Born in Jamaica and known as “Supernova” throughout his career, Bell was the undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2006, winning the World Boxing Council, World Boxing Association and the International Boxing Federation titles after a 10th-round knockout of Jean-Marc Mormeck at Madison Square Garden in New York. Bell lost a unanimous decision to Mormeck the following year in France. Bell had a 27-4-1 career record, including 25 victories by knockout. His last appearance came in December 2011, when he beat Rico Cason in a first-round knockout. SC http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/sport/27-Nov-2015/former-boxing-champ-shot-dead-during-robbery-in-atlanta
