1. No no....You're the fahkin nob. I posted it as a thread, just like USS Enterprise or Simpsons or Batman or Dr Who etc etc have their own threads. I was fully capable of burying it on the sitcoms thread had that was my intention. 2. By moving it you totally fucked up the formatting. 3. As of now the Charlotte Rae thread -- which consists of 8 posts asking why there needs to be a Charlotte Rae thread and which has no reason to exist outside of the Sitcoms thread accordingly-- has lasted longer as a stand alone thread than my Sanford and Son one. Piss off tosser SC

Well this is the first 'flouncing off in a piss' for ages. You'll look a bit of a nob when you come back and find that it was only moved, not deleted.
-
After spending nearly 2 days compiling the list I posted for Sanford & Son, I sign on today to see it has been deleted. Not moved, not merged, not anything. Just deleted. I'm not the least bit tolerant of such action, and I think I'll be taking a break from DL until some other time. I don't find it so much inexcusable as I do personal. That's fine.... whoever the admin is that has it out for me, you win. 1474 posts. Full stop. Peace, SirC

I think she is famous enough to have her own thread. Is that the criteria? SMH

Guesty was on top of this one---after he's been mentioned ad infinitum--and giving his first name an extra D to boot. More like ad nauseum. SC

American Football Players

Mike Gaechter, a former Cowboys player during the early years of the franchise, died Monday of heart failure at his home in Dallas. He was 75. A defensive back, Gaechter appeared in 108 games during an NFL career that spanned eight seasons from 1962 to 1969. His name remains etched in the team’s record books after he ran back an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in a 1962 victory over Philadelphia that also featured a 101-yard kickoff return by Dallas’ Amos Marsh. By the time he walked away from football, he had picked off 21 passes. SC -
Witnesses told police a 24-year-old man was trying to prevent a 19-year-old man from jumping off the 14th-floor ledge of a University of Hawaii student apartment building. Both men fell to the ground and were taken to a hospital, where the 24-year-old was pronounced dead. SC

Former Kansas Supreme Court Chief Justice Kay Eleanor McFarland passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday following a brief illness. She had recently celebrated her 80th birthday. On September 19, 1977, McFarland was appointed to the Kansas Supreme Court by Gov. Robert Bennett, becoming the first woman to hold that office. She became Chief Justice on September 1, 1995, upon the retirement of Chief Justice Richard Holmes. Again, she was the first woman to hold that office. SC

Why in the living hell is (or was, seeing as it started in 2006) this thread necessary when we have Deadio Times already? Maddening. I'm serious. Are all your individual homes full of this much fucking clutter? 'Twas Thoreau who said 'Simplicity Simplicity Simplicity.' Fuck all. The redundancy in these DL threads is astonishing at times. I bring them up to point out your faults, only to have them defended. I need to start up an Internet version of 'Horders' and bring some streamlining techs around to sites on the Web, this would be target #1. It would be a podcast sensation. SC

WTF you search foreign language terms or something? There have to be a good dozen of us (and I am unanimous in that) that search 3-4 times a day, and we all came up empty? Are you using something besides search engines, say Lexis or something? The whole 'translate' thing is obtuse. Are you honestly searching alternative language terms for death etc? That's crazy. SC

Hm Libby And The Greek Jester's Age Of Death Poll
Sir Creep replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList Forum
Women live longer than men, period. Don't make me pull up that old Alan King bit about 'survived by his wife'. Since I chose 97 for him, naturally I was forced to choose 98 for her. I like those numbers. SC -
