Whom Are You Tarring With The Epithet "twunt"?
Sir Creep replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Sir Creep has his 1000 in 6 months. Has anyone achieved 'twuntdom' that fast before? I'm not sure he's really "achieved" anything! I think he's the Usain Bolt of the twunting classes. So, that is probably an achievement, if anything here counts as such. But I'm the most proud of said achievement, hopefully my honour of being a twunt is worthy. SC -

There is probably not one Canadian woman (and maybe some men) in my age group that isn't gutted by news of Jonathan's death. I had such a crush on his Gilbert Blythe. It is just so sad. I think my daughter has the DVDs. Maybe PBS will air all three mini-series in Jonathan's memory.I damn near opened with 'sorry ladies...' As you are spot on. Growing up in Detroit we got to watch CBC right across the river... So I'm fully versed in Canadian programming and classics.PBS showing the trilogy would be cool, and I'd cuddle up (with a few beers this time lol ) and watch. I found the third offering an obtuse story with war and all that and Anne going to the Front, but I'm over it. Thanks to my ex wife I now fully enjoy costume dramas and at least the first two parts of AOGG. SC I agree, the third one was disappointing, but we did get the long anticipated Ann/Gilbert wedding. To sound completely ridiculous, Jonathan Crombie was just so dreamy in that role. I always thought Megan Follows was a lucky bitch. If there is a rebroadcast I'd watch with a nice bottle of Chambord and pretend that it was Mirrilla's raspberry cordiale. Here's another Canuck tie-in with AOGG. Amy Wallis, a talented actress and singer whose past credits included playing the lead role of Anne Shirley in the Charlottetown Festival production of Anne of Green Gables has died. Wallis, 32, died Sunday in Vancouver after a lengthy battle with leukemia. SC http://m.journalpioneer.com/News/Local/2015-06-16/article-4184003/Former-Anne-actress-dead-at-32/1

Danny Villanueva, a Placekicker for the Rams and Cowboys in the mid 1960s, and most certainly one of the very few New Mexico State Aggies to play in the NFL, has died at 77 after suffering a stroke earlier this week. He was also a pioneer of Spanish speaking NFL coverage after his playing days. SC http://bharatpress.com/2015/06/20/former-nfl-player-spanish-language-tv-pioneer-dies-at-77/ -

American Football Players
Sir Creep replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList Forum
I can help here. The Heismann Trophy is awarded to the 'best college football player' each year. Bear Bryant and the Alabama football program being one of the best, it is therefore a bit of an oddity that he only coached 1 winner of the Heismann, basically, considering all the talent he coached, including Joe Nameth et al. That's why they made a point of saying that.SC -

So, will any Victorian see 2016? I reckon at least one will. Definitely Jerelean Talley. She's really healthy and strong for her age. On the other hand, I thought the same about Gertrude Weaver... and she lasted 5 days with the title. And by 'Definitely' RadGuy means maybe. SC

This one breaks my heart. I too thought her strong at her age and pushing 120. Last time the oldest person in the world will one from my home area of Detroit, Inkster being a neighbouring city.Shit. RIP SC
