Should be everyone’s first hit. What’s the record for most teams with a hit because he was so obvious as to be on at least 200 non theme teams.

Marie Irvine and Jonnie Irwin. Who’s next… David Irving? Terri Irwin? Michael Irvin?

Groundhog’s Day (02/02/24) 1:52am GSL is one of the 3 best songs remaining (probably 3rd best imo) but it’s time to reduce the options. This one’s going to get interesting. 33 The Beach Boys — God Only Knows 29 The Kinks — All Day And All Of The Night +4 27 Barry Ryan — Eloise 27 The Kinks — Waterloo Sunset -2 00 The Spencer Davis Group — Gimme Some Lovin’ -4 -

Funny you mention that. I scanned the Web a few months back and discovered that a few oldies still exist. Lycos, Dogpile, Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com), Excite, to name a few. Ixquick is now Fastsearch.

So pretentious that to replace my infotainment module is just south of $2000 U.S.

I agree with @Paul Bearer about the list being ruined a week ago, though a few good songs remain. Eloise is so out of place as to be trolling/comical…but Sir Creep isn’t going to downvote it yet. That time will come. For now, and until the matter is complete, we first need to differentiate between an all time classic Kinks song … and a Kinks song. 31/01/24 9:22am 42 The Kinks--All Day And All Of The Night +4 40 The Beach Boys-- God Only Knows 35 Barry Ryan--- Eloise 28 The Spencer Davis Group--- Gimme Some Lovin' 25 The Kinks -- Waterloo Sunset -6 6 The Yardbirds---Heart Full Of Soul -

Saving this one for last. The Monkees on a topic you never imagined they did, with lyrics to match. Enjoy an obscure song from a well-known group. -

I owe two songs still. I’ve been trying to find odd band names or song titles, so this fits. And this is the best obscurity I’ve unearthed! Turquoise only released two singles in their existence; this is the B side of the first one. They were neighbours of the Davies brothers, and Dave Davies produced their early demos, as if you couldn’t tell. So without further ado…..If you like The Kinks… -

Obscure 1960s, I thought the band name quirky/dumb enough to post. Song isn’t bad, though I’d rather have posted the B side given the band’s name and all. Relevant though, as it wouldn’t be until Fleetwood Max ‘Divorced’ themselves from Peter Green that they would start making good songs. -
Car journalists are only using the lexicon the OEMs are using. My Volvo refers to the sound system as the infotainment module.

Same happened to me with the good people at St Jude. After I sent a donation, my post was suddenly overrun with more donation request documents every week or so. I figured if that’s what they were going to do with my donation I didn’t need to send any more money to them.

Back when they had a good logo. The Brady Years logo has always looked like Elvis wearing a windsock.

Great song title. Great lyrics. The Strawbs first obscure single, before they even made an album. -

Three more to post to bring us up to speed. It gets no more obscure than this Dr Demento style fodder (so obscure the record label—the same label that recorded 13-year old Dolly Parton’s first song—couldn’t spell the band name correctly). It climbed the charts as much as Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Oh Well’ so a fair comp. The band’s name and song title are perfect for the Deathlist site so here ‘tis. -

Lol well now I’ve missed a few more days so allow me to reconcile that through today and tomorrow. This time it IS a Brit band. Here is exactly 1/2 of their entire catalogue, the B side of their only obscure single. Too bad we never got more from Rifkin, Sir Creep likey. -
