Solow and Minor takes the DDP to a tantalising 299 hits, with 8 days left of the year. 300 will be broken I'm sure.
-
Of course, if you'd rather have a Ryan Minor from a UK source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-12895741/Ryan-Minor-Orioles-3B-replaced-Cal-Ripken-end-record-setting-streak-dies-49.html

Wonder how many teams already submitted for next year had him on it. Possibly the first great hosewash of teams, I'd think.

Biblical scholar and retired Professor of Old Testament Studies at King's College, London, Michael Knibb reportedly dead: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/professor-michael-a-knibb Dead since 6th December, yet his Wiki not yet updated. Old Testament Studies? I'll bet that isn't on the Tory "this is a crap university course undeserving of public funding" hitlist, but who knows?

So, How's Your 2024 Shortlist Looking?
YoungWillz replied to Death Impends's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well my teams are, in the words of the worst PM since David Cameron, "oven ready". You are too kind, in the past I went for really ill people one year and most survived. I've gone for uniques and got very little in return. I've gone for those I know and have loved and/or hated and the buggers live, many to this day. So, it's all a bit of fun for me, which I take incredibly seriously. Ha! -
35 years today since Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed out of the sky over Lockerbie. Remembering all the souls lost that day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_Am_Flight_103

Charles Hanson charged with domestic abuse: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/charles-hanson-bargain-hunt-assault-charges-derbyshire-b1128401.html This news, quite frankly, astonishes me. Iirc, he's also had a testicle off.

Playwright for radio and theatre Oliver Emanuel reportedly dead: One of those stage 4 brain cancer sufferers who haven't made it out of 2023. RIP.

We love you gcreptile, you know that. Your immense hard work is always appreciated.

Care to share? Help will always be given at Deathlist for those who ask for it.

Any reason Wilf Lunn not included in the recent updates?

I'm submitting my teams in the next couple of days. While I didn't get an email, the DDP website information was enough for me, and I just assumed some glitch or somesorts happened. I'll be here for Christmas, possibly New Year, but I'm moving house soon, so I may be off grid for a time in January until my broadband catches up with me. So I'll have to get all my teams together for the various games, but might not be able to respond to queries about them. Some leeway from game runners would be appreciated.
