Larry Manetti turns up to guest star on Blue Bloods with the great moustache: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11803685/Tom-Selleck-78-enjoys-Magnum-P-reunion-Larry-Manetti-75-pair-film-Blue-Bloods.html No one scrambles to get their chopper out, and Selleck will certainly not be troubling Courtney Cox anytime soon, as his Magoo like stare searches for the camera.

Well, of course not. Rishi is like someone who has got a gift for his granny. He announces it to great fanfare on her birthday via zoom call to her and everyone else. On that call he sends his condolences on the death of her best friend. He turns up the next day at his granny's house. He is empty handed. He repeats he has her gift but it will depend whether her husband likes it, whether his own best friend likes it, whether her bin man likes it and whether the post office can deliver it. He doesn't mention her dead best friend once. He points at all the security guards he brought with him, but his granny doesn't realise they are there to protect him, not the non-existent gift. He then clears out her cupboard of food and scarpers.

Also, remove Tim Lobinger from the list of the lost of those waiting on a QO, as he's been credited and points awarded already.

Those we are waiting on being added Mirisch Boothroyd Pendry and now add Bob Richards who gains a QO: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-11799575/Athletics-Olympic-pole-vault-champion-Richards-dies-97.html

Dunno, I only checked the top of the orders of business. Maybe they do it when they need 300 quid and pop in for a coffee and a heat.

While looking at the Hansard, of note should be that former Tory MP Lynda Chalker retired from the House of Lords on 3rd February 2023. https://hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2023-02-03/debates/37DED89B-0924-4EB8-977D-2DC410B1287F/RetirementOfAMemberBaronessChalkerOfWallasey Thought this was reported, but search turns up nothing.

Had a look, last date for them seems to have been 2 February but yeah, hundreds of peers going to take some time.

I think the oaths and allegiances took place over several sessions - might even be ongoing?

Not quite sure why he's announced the Brexit deal (you know, that thing that Boris got done years ago) in Windsor rather than in Northern Ireland itself. And called it the Windsor framework. (Well, we do, it's so he can involve the monarchy in this). Is he averse to going to part of this great United Kingdom he cherishes? Or just the places where folk are getting shot? Good for Northern Ireland though - they can pay the same high prices if not more anyway like the mainland. And do without the fruit and veg like the rest of us.

Hey, I don't just dislike Tories you know. I struggle to list her achievements.

It's a good year for deaths (if there is a such a thing). It's obviously a better year the more MPs (former or current) die. (Guilty pleasure - Kenneth Clarke - sad day when he goes ).
-
Maybe I'm the only one who didn't like her. A true person who used her political career for her own political self-advancement, voted into Speakership by all those MPs who couldn't raise an erection after Thatcher departed the scene and a complete establishment figure who utilised her popularity (only hardened by the televising of the Commons) to swan around with the rich and famous and the Royals, leaving the people who believed she could represent their interests to fester in the blight caused by successive Governments. TL; DR: Selfish cow.

Tom Pendry gets local coverage so far: https://www.tamesidecorrespondent.co.uk/2023/02/27/tribute-paid-after-the-death-of-lord-pendry/ As a sometime Minister, I'd expect a QO in due course. I'd expect that the people still in poverty will no doubt be heartened by his meaningless elevation to the Lords, his suspension therefrom for bullying a security guard, and his self-aggrandisement as follows "In Stalybridge, he is honoured by the area in front of the Civic Hall being named Lord Pendry Square and Stalybridge Celtic having The Lord Tom Pendry Stand."

From the Susan Atkins thread: Now it appears that Linda Kasabian is being reported dead on the basis of this which reports a death of a Linda Darlene Chiochios, another name she used: https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/article272541349.html She was present at both the Tate and LaBianca murders but received immunity by testifying for the prosecution. Astonishing if her death has flown under the radar.
