Delving a little further, a Canadian site seemed to have mentioned his death (same week as Monty Norman, notably): https://www.fyimusicnews.ca/articles/2022/07/13/obituaries-july-14-2022 In 1992, Connected and Step It Up were two really good dance numbers and earworms. Shame Owen If's death seems to have been largely overlooked.

I see there's occasional mention on Twitter and an updated Wiki that Ian Frederick Rossiter aka Owen If, the drummer with Stereo MCs, died in July 2022. Anything more substantial? Nowt on the Forum afaik.

Best version I could find. Sadly, the full splendour of Franco's moustache isn't fully realised. Are those flared leather trousers?

Is Vangelis the first faller from this poll? Will @Etushispushingupdaisies ever return to update the polls? Why am I bothering? Was there ever much interest in this?

Never heard of the Gnome guy. However, he seems to have created Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds (?), which was a favourite with my youngest brother back in the day and was huge in the UK.

This might assume the incumbents want to stand again, any word on who from that list might be considering standing down? In such an event, no loyalty to the member. The horror show of a Conservative party being led by Chope or Leigh for example.... -
So, I was reviewing my prospective TOTP Theme team for 1987 for next year. Looks like we missed the death being announced https://www.facebook.com/simonnapierbell/posts/1146337769265214 of Duncan Millar from pneumonia in May 2022, one half of the duo Blue Mercedes, who had a #23 hit in the UK in December 1987 with I Want To Be Your Property:

Christ, they'll be going after Jimmy Savile next... I'll try and keep my endeavours to those who have contributed positively. Focusing on the Tobins and Sutcliffes etc of this world will only pollute your minds, mateys... -
I see. Why aren't we discussing this guy here? Hall - o, is it him we're looking for?

Deaths in prison are always subject to review. The likelihood that someone this famous and infamous died in jail as long ago as August and no-one knows about it on the public record is nil imo. -
Probably food poisoning from dining out on the pain and suffering of the British people. Hundreds of millions of pounds in her own bank account, she can't take it with her....

I'm baffled. Weeks ago the new PMs government and backbench colleagues were (rightly in my opinion) slagging off the Bank of England for not raising interest rates sooner. Now, free market Tories are "compassionately" looking at how to relieve mortgage payers of the increased burden on the pockets - an intervention in the markets on a colossal scale. (AFAIK interest rates are going up again in a couple of weeks - it should be 2%, it will be 0.75% at least). Hunt seems to have largely adopted the Labour model on the economy, without the windfall tax which would correct the market and without the investment spending needed to boost growth, instead cutting spending and cutting tax increases, relying almost wholly on Corporation Tax. Which should lead to large scale insolvencies being declared. Essentially we have had a mini Budget in emergency which is largely dead. So we need another mini Budget to give a declared direction of travel. This is even more economically illiterate than Kwarteng/Truss plan. It's time for the country to have its say. -
