Denis Moriarty, TV director and producer who directed over 60 episodes of Face The Music (obligatory watching in the Willz household at the time) and produced Six English Towns and The Triumph Of The West TV series, obituary: https://www.henleystandard.co.uk/news/obituaries/174510/denis-moriarty-mayor-of-henley-and-bbc-tv-producer.html Stood for Parliament for Labour twice, losing on both occasions, but sometime a local councillor in Henley. His obit has a lovely dob and dod, unlike his IMDB quoted above at present.

Probably the most famous choral conductor in Britain not to have a Wiki page, Terry Edwards, the founder of London Voices (who have performed choral parts for the Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter franchises among many other movies), reported dead: A 6ft 9in giant of man with a close relationship to Georg Solti, he moved to singing after failing to qualify with the GB Basketball Team for the 1964 Olympics. Became the permanent Chorus Director of the Royal Opera House in 1991, though I'm not sure when he retired from that role, perhaps 2004 according to this including a link to a podcast including an interview from 2018 https://classicaltop5.podbean.com/e/bonus-edition-terry-edwards/. There's an out of date bio here, including his dob: https://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Edwards-Terry.htm -

Voting ends. Pity they can't do the reveal like Eurovision, going round the regions and countries. Anyway, the Tories seem to be so economically illiterate, it's going to take them 3 days to count them. Any paper ballots I'll take after the vote, gotta burn something to stay warm this winter.

Angus Gaye, aka Drummie Zeb, founding member and constant of British reggae act Aswad, being reported dead on the Tweetnest. On iPad, so if someone can link, thanks. Hit the top spot in the UK with Don’t Turn Around in 1988.

Reports of the death of British electronic musician and composer Mark Shreeve (IMDB): His tune Legion (Here I Come) was featured on The Jewel Of The Nile soundtrack, but hey he's going to be better known by me and others of my generation for his co-written Samantha Fox numbers, including Touch Me (I Want Your Body):

Google is not my friend. Every time I search for Liz Truss, it comes up with a gentleman's support with the Queen's face on it.

Two references to Paisley? There's a pattern there....

Picture the scene. Boris has his final humiliation, as the Jock hating little Englander selfish fat cunt has to go in to meet Her Majesty in Scotland (fnah fnah) to give up his position as Prime Minister. Liz Truss waits nervously outside. After all, apart from the hustings has Truss ever been in Scotland in her airhead life? Boris stumbles out. "She died right before I was about to say the words, Liz!" What happens next? Is Charlie available in case the Queen snuffs it? (And obviously to clarify when talking about Boris, I mean Prince Charles, not Boris' snuff of choice!)

Well, that is probably my game over with Turnbull's death. He who hesitates on an update on the leaderboard though. They have the real challenge ahead, 4 deaths and it's still morning here.

Journeyman all-rounder sometime playing for Warwickshire Nigel Paul death notice: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/259234/paul Died aged 89. Notable for being over 2 metres tall (6ft 8in in old money according to Wiki, though the Old Cranleighan website has him at a mere 6ft 5 in). -
For some reason, Gorby not picked by me here. That means I have generously allowed the Committee a chance to meet on equal terms at the dawn of September on the field of battle. YW - 5; DL - 5

For those of you not around at the time, probably THE most pivotal figure of that era in the progress of humanity towards a better world. He certainly stopped pop stars predicting nuclear wipeout which they had been doing for some years, although his contribution to the rise of David Hasselhoff as a singer should not be forgotten as a remaining stain on life on Earth. In all seriousness, his policies were for better rather than worse, though short term suffering of the people couldn't be tolerated and in came the inebriated Yeltsin. Just like de Klerk, a convert to legacy, although whether he really wanted Putin's return to a glorious Soviet era Russia might latterly cloud that.
