While Roger Angell already has a QO and the DDP updated, nothing surprises me more than this - a BBC Obit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61535345

I was surprised at the reporting yesterday, as I really would have stated the fact, had I believed it to be true. And as the guy who has Roberta on the DDP. At least that's settled the matter.

Reports that US 80s funk and R&B proponent Bernard Wright has died aged a mere 58: #6 in the US R&B Charts in 1985 with this little number, though appears to have done little UKside:

According to IAFD, 1041 credits for Logan Long. Been inside more women than Tampax.

Sunak and his missus make the Sunday Times Rich List. Hope you remember that every time you hear him and the other millionaires on the front bench telling you they understand the problems facing families during the cost of living crisis. -
I could of course go all bad taste and sarcastic here. However, out of deference to Major Blewitt who was no doubt collecting both handsome miltary and royal service pensions at the taxpayers' expense while still serving as an equerry to Her Majesty, I won't. That reminds me, I have to submit my meter readings later today...good god.

Probably one for @maryportfuncity, but apparently some dude called Grandmaster Gareth of Misty's Big Adventure from Birmingham (UK) has died: Did a Peel Session apparently, so not completely off the radar, but hey, if they aren't in the Charts I'm never going to have heard of them. Anyhow, real name Gareth Jones and according to Discogs also sometime known as Gareth Pennington.

Sir Shane Blewitt, former soldier becoming Treasurer to HM The Queen, death notice: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/257323/blewitt Died "suddenly" aged...87. *sigh*

Clay Jordan, apparently a participant on this show, reportedly not a survivor:

Should also add he hit the UK charts back in December 1968 reaching #29 with Rain And Tears (which he co-wrote) with Aphrodite's Child: Give our love to Demis.

Picked Vangelis a few years ago for my TOTP Theme Team, however by 1986 he wasn't doing anything of note in the UK charts. Plenty of them obits out there. RIP.

Nearly £30 million estate in the UK, with perhaps millions more in France. Sounds like he left it in trust for his missus: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/18602176/rolling-stones-charlie-watts-will-estate-millions/

Well, maybe pop "star" is going too far here, but interesting one nonetheless. Roger James (b. 1944, Evesham as Roger James Scarrott), guitarist and vocalist with the Roger James Four who released singles in the 1960s to little public acclaim, is reportedly dead as of 16 May: What is interesting is that he apparently played on the soundtrack with the British Lion Orchestra to The Girl On A Motorcycle movie (Delon/Marianne Faithfull) and also worked with McCartney on Give My Regards To Broad Street (having been in McCartney's company decades earlier in Hamburg in the early 1960s). Also claims to have worked with Jerry Lee Lewis, so no shortage of connection to DL luminaries. Of further interest though, his only charting position was as one of an uncredited backing duo who sang on Danny Storm's 1962 #42 Honest I Do. And here he be centre vocalling away: He does have a website as of the moment, so a biography is here: http://rj4.co.uk/index.html

Not even picked by Tragic, Our Maurice for the DDP. Ah well...

Yeah, I mean ask yourself, what type of person has the box set of any of her shows? Boys From The Blackstuff she ain't.
-
Wow, big statement. Best remembered for her appearances on Loose Women. Band Of Gold, The Syndicate, Playing The Field...all pretty crap, anodyne, British pulp fiction for TV. Children's Ward might be her best work.

I see Robert Cogoi who represented Belgium at the 1964 Contest finishing tenth equal with Pres De Ma Riviere has died aged 82: https://www-telesambre-be.translate.goog/deces-de-robert-cogoi-retour-sur-sa-carriere?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc Unfortunately the 1964 contest is known for little remaining of tape of the event, so here's the man himself elsewhere: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJF62xBu-PM

Andy Griffith show I'm guessing? Maggie Peterson must have been picked for the DDP at some stage.
