Third hit on my Theme Team when a QO arrives. Rising Damp wasn't consummate writing but by gawd with that cast it was AWESOME. If he doesn't broadsheet, I'll be astonished, redtops should cover him. RIP.

Stage Obit for actor turned fight arranger/director Malcolm Ranson: https://www.thestage.co.uk/obituaries--archive/obituaries/malcolm-ranson Billy Fisher in the 1960 adaptation of The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer. Probably more relevant to folk here was that he was the fight arranger on the original pilot for Blackadder. Can't read the obit, so I have no idea if he was related to Mavis Ranson, uncredited passenger in A Night To Remember and a schoolgirl in the pilot of Doctor Who, but possible?

Robert Morse reportedly dead aged 90: https://abc7.com/robert-morse-dead-obituary-mad-men/11775650/ Might have preferred Broadway thread but this is where he is mentioned. Without looking, he's probably a DDP pick as he has been for years.

Anyone who has watched any 1960s pop based movies knows there are a bunch of musicians essentially playing themselves. The 1970s movie Never Too Young To Rock has a bunch of glam rock stars of the time. These are not cameos, but rather vehicles for the bands/artistes. I was going to say what about documentary features? Full of folk being themselves. Maybe documentaries could be excluded entirely as a sop to the nay sayers? Otherwise, who cares? Only those who want to win I'd say.

You can almost feel the electricity between them. (Anyone who doesn't get the reference is far too young). -
From the Dead of 2007 thread above. The original link to Thompson's death (not quoted) is as dead as Thompson, as OP originally thought it was a drug overdose, but turns out Thompson died of poisoning from a faulty air-con unit. Anyhoo, there's a report here (how reliable I dunno, but the sources quoted seem genuine) of original member of Hi-Five Roderick Pooh Clark's death aged 49 here: https://icecreamconvos.com/roderick-pooh-clark-original-hi-five-member-passes-away-at-49/ A Billboard number one as reported above, but only 43 in the UK in June 1991: Clark had been paralysed in a car accident in 1992.

He ended up being fourth reserve, absolutely highlighted for this year. Typical, he's gone and done a Des O'Connor on me. Last picked for the DDP in 2008 I think! -
