Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Wait - didn't Sunak say directly to Laura BBC last night he was never at a party and didn't see any parties from his window, because he was concentrating on the serious Treasury business of Government? Bless his lying cotton socks in flip flops. Also, every time a letter goes in or someone resigns, this plays in my head: -
Sir Benjamin Slade, 7th Baronet - the guy for whom (if it hadn't already been written for Harry Enfield) "that bloke's a nutter" is appropriate - requires a heavy edit on his Wiki as he appears to have a child at last by his much younger recent bit of stuff: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10478259/EDEN-CONFIDENTIAL-Eccentric-gun-nut-Sir-Benjamin-Slade-father-age-75.html But the child is a girl. Mwahahahahah - no son and heir for you. His hunt for male heir continues...

Look, I was never a Labour supporter, but they had some heavyweights which even along with Thatcher you could respect for their position, even if you hated them. It's a generational issue I guess. I can just about remember the effects of the Heath government right through to the present day. And I'd say that ever since Major left office, the political sphere at Westminster is populated by opportunists rather than passionate advocates, with little outside Parliament. Sure there is the odd one on any side, but few seem to believe what they say with any conviction. And that's why we are where we are. Imo.

Let's face it, Labour activists in favour of Indy were few and far between. Nobody believed Labour had any more interest in Indy than the Tories, although many ordinary Labour voters like the rest of Scotland were split fairly evenly I'd say. Anyway, let's not deflect here. Not everything has to come back to 2014. Brennan was an example of a genuine Labour movement that existed in Scotland for a very long time. They didn't sit in their offices on their fat arses trying to get placepersons in the Parliamentary Labour Party or whinging about the issues that directly impacted on their, I'm going to use their word here, comrades. Regardless of what job Kinnock or his ilk were doing in Parliament, these folk could talk the talk and walk the walk, quite literally in Brennan's case. Labour died quicker in Scotland because of a new disconnect between the people, the movement and the party (also local well-documented corruption). It's dying down South and it is truly painful to watch. Whaur's the firebrand? Whaur's the passion? Whaur's the square go?

Additionally, Adam Afriyie seems to be, instead of a bit of cunt, a full on wholemilk cunt. Nice round-up of his misdemeanours here: https://www.getreading.co.uk/news/reading-berkshire-news/windsor-mp-adam-afriyie-under-22960100

Terrorist organisation members are included but there must be official verification of when they died from both sides of the conflict (i.e. “The West” and the terrorists themselves). From the Rules. Good old ISIS will have to confirm his death.

al-Qurayshi/Qurashi reportedly dead: https://www.lbc.co.uk/world-news/isis-leader-al-qurayshi-killed-in-us-special-forces-raid/ DDP Pick. Suicide blast allegedly. Good luck with that ISIS confirmation as required. -
Alex Ingram, former terror player and vice chair for Ayr United and a good friend of Alex Ferguson, dead at 77: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/ayr-united-mourning-legendary-player-26128789 Seeing as I'm about.

I understand that time is needed is to work through the teams and this sort of thing. Drawing the Hemlock's attention to the fact this has been pointed out before. Rather like Mollie Walker's continued participation in the Cup, despite the fact she's dead, unless there's a hugely famous Mollie W I've never heard of, of course. I'm not supposed to be here.

But Maurice Norman is not dead: Carry on.

Maurice Norman, Spurs player, generally being pronounced dead as of yesterday on the Tweetingpanel. DDP Pick.

Reports coming through that London born actor Paul Kelman, who played TJ in slasher flick My Bloody Valentine, has died aged 72: The main reports seem to be from Visage Tome (Face Book), but obvs I can't access that.

Britain's oldest (unverified?) lassie Mary Mollie Walker reportedly died on 22 January to little notice: https://peppardnews.co.uk/mrs-mollie-walker-mbe/ DDP Pick.

I think I should draw to the attention of @Spade_Cooley that Mollie Walker died on 22 January 2022 without much fanfare, apparently: https://peppardnews.co.uk/mrs-mollie-walker-mbe/ This affects the @grobler team only as far as I can see.
