Pains me to say that Hadoke has been consorting with the redoubtable Quantick. Pains me further that they have chatted about Genesis Of The Daleks - a story I adore, basically because who has the guts to give to children a story about possible genocide? Anyhoo, I have nothing personally against Mr Q - basically because without looking him up, I have no idea what he has done or what he is "famous" for. Is he an Armando Ianucci? Cos he is a real pain in the arse.

I can't see Angela Webb making any statement on the date of death or funeral. I had a look at the Daily Post thing and it no longer mentions a funeral, but that is what is quoted on the Fansite, not Angela, on the funeral details. If she was friends with Moran, why would she wait 4 months to tell the Fansite? That's what bugs me and suggests the April date is likely. Gazette details provided by solicitors on production of a death certificate, and 25 April cannot possibly be mistaken for 21 or 28 January imo. Damn you, Kevin Banks! -

There's a David Moran who died on 28 January with a will according to official records: https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/Wills?Surname=moran&SurnameGrants=moran&YearOfDeath=2021&YearOfDeathGrants=2021&IsGrantSearch=True&IsCalendarSearch=False&page=1#wills The Gazette entry is quite specific about that Moran being an actor, the proximity of the announcement on FB and the date it was posted here and the relative youth of Moran suggesting it more likely he wouldn't have made a will all suggest the Gazette entry is our bod. But yeah, if there's doubt... -
I think as there is more than one source rather than just The Stage, that might help it along. I've seen IMDB update in the past simply on a Gazette mention. Patricia Driscoll not updated I see. You know, that one is disappointing - unbelievable she got no press coverage at all. She's another Sally Sweetland waiting to happen.

It's easy to forget that a load of people who did other things also did a bit of telly. So London Fringe theatre bod June Abbott, who died in December 2020 has an IMDB entry which isn't updated: https://www.thestage.co.uk/obituaries--archive/obituaries/june-abbott and for more information: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3829155 Played Lorna Keating in Crossroads back in the 1960s. Pic on Aveleyman: https://www.aveleyman.com/ActorCredit.aspx?ActorID=94126 Aveleyman still not updated either!

David Moran died without making a known will, which has helped in tracing a date of death of 25 April 2021: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3906496 Now all that has to happen is for someone to let IMDB know. -

I found this interesting, even if nobody else does. John Ryder (born John Holland) has reportedly died: https://www.thestar.co.uk/heritage-and-retro/retro/sheffield-singer-who-had-chart-success-with-his-wife-dies-aged-82-3436077 A member of local Sheffield band The Whirlwinds whose alumni included Dave Hawley and later the comic Bobby Knutt (both dead), he teamed up with his wife Anne and had a hit in Canada in 1969 with I Still Believe In Tomorrow. On the album of the same name was included Seasons In The Sun (not a hit until Terry Jacks 5 years later and covers of Let It Be Me and Ev'rybody's Talkin'. Interesting biography here: https://vancouversignaturesounds.com/hits/i-still-believe-in-tomorrow-by-john-and-anne-ryder/

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist

Hurd and Tebbit are being kept alive by the continued oppression of the proletariat. (I'm being flippant again for the poor wee Tory/Royalist supporting snowflakes here). -
Well, William Shelby of Dynasty has died: https://www.soultracks.com/story-william-shelby-dies Also wrote I Can Make You Feel Good for Shalamar. As a member of Dynasty, he hit #20 in November 1979 on the UK Charts with I Don't Want To Be A Freak. As my cross post comes from the UK Singles thread, it's another small updating job for @Ulitzer95.

Richard Evans, actor who played Paul Hanley in Peyton Place in the 1960s, reported dead of cancer on 2 October: https://deadline.com/2021/10/richard-dick-evans-dies-obit-actor-1234862945/ A series of well known 1960s western series appearances in everything from The Virginian to The High Chaparral also. And additionally, he was in Star Trek: TOS - so he's a miss for the Scavvy Hunt. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0263154/ -
Here is an obituary for Gerry Anderson's first wife, Betty Wrightman, who apparently died back on 13 September this year, aged 92: https://www.gerryanderson.com/obituary-betty-peacock/ Of course this will come as a surprise to most as Wiki has her dying in 2016!

Kinda had a feeling that Jimmy Millar's death was a hoax, and so it has turned out to be. Someone coat-tailing as suspected.
-
No formal announcement afaik, but the Troops are reporting that Jimmy Millar has also died today. Have to wait and see whether this is true, or just a Walter Smith bandwagon...
-
Don't recall him bringing up this process as a contributory factor to his wife's suicide until now. Looked a bit smirky on Politics Live. As members of his own party voted for the Report's conclusions, it may be damning. Unlikely his constituents will go for recall, no matter what this guy did.
-
DDP description for Walter Smith is "current manager of Rangers". Shows how long ago he was seemingly first picked.
