In case the Scotsman isn't a source, the BBC have come through unsurprisingly with a QO for Elizabeth Blackadder: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58324930

Scottish artist Dame Elizabeth Blackadder, dead aged 89 a few weeks before turning 90: https://www.scotsman.com/news/people/elizabeth-blackadder-art-world-mourns-death-of-scottish-great-3358499 Cats and flowers....sworn enemies, yet Blackadder made them beautiful. Also a DDP pick - Scotsman counts, right?

Apparently Charlie Watts had his own thread a millennia ago. (Ok, 17 years ago, ha!) For the record, he died today. But you know that.
-
Now have 8 hits out of 15 now Charlie Watts is dead.
-
Stones didn't have any top 30 hits in 1985. So there's that.
-
Charlie Watts first faller according to the BBC. Clive Myrie announces live.
-
Christ in a bucket! Highest entry in 1985 was Money's Too Tight (To Mention), reaching unlucky #13 that year. Didn't see a damn thing about illness - didn't top himself did he? Anyway, another bloody miss.

Last year's pick for me, well done to the Team With No Name for sticking with him, Brian Travers QO: https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/1480605/Brian-Travers-dead-death-UB40-cause-cancer-age-news-latest-update
-
Travers was on my longlist for my 1985 Theme Team, reaching #1 with Chrissie Hynde with I Got You Babe that year. Didn't pick him, and in January 2021 they revealed he was undergoing a second brain operation - so it was only a matter of timing and time. RIP Brian.
-
Various sources reporting that Brian Travers has copped it? Summat on Facebook perhaps....help a brother out. Edit:
-
Darts always brought a bit of fun to Top Of The Pops - sad news. Wish they had made a comeback....wait....

Cross-posting report of the death of Jarvis Astaire.

Jarvis Astaire, who had probably been Michael Parkinson's oldest living interviewee being reported dead: IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0039939/

Maybe the Curse of Half Man Half Biscuit needs to be a theme team next year. Una Stubbs has joined the list, seemingly at the top of outliving her name check: https://halfmanhalfbiscuit.uk/because-i-aint-got-a-job/those-no-longer-in-need-of-season-tickets/ Discussion of Lech Walesa recently and also seemingly Corey Taylor of Slipknot being very very sick from catching the COVID is beginning to enhance the curse, ha!

Times obituary (Paywall) for Peter Webb, possibly best known for photographing the Rolling Stones for the Sticky Fingers sessions, which negatives were lost and then later discovered: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/peter-webb-obituary-2t303n2sf He did go on to direct Paul McCartney's Give My Regards To Broad Street - I don't blame him, I do blame McCartney for the over-hype on what really was a terrible movie with some very good tunes. Webb was the younger brother of Gareth Peirce - the lawyer who represented the Guildford Four and was portrayed by Emma Thompson on film in In The Name Of The Father - who is still very much alive and obitable.
