Has opened up to the Times about his loneliness. Fortunately, the Mail steals the story so we can read about it: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13610157/Brian-Blessed-87-lonely-wife-death-michael-palin.html

I think they want the Welsh Senedd to have control of the coffers, as well as the ability to exploit.

And so afaik, we have courted our first hit with Vic Seixas. First leaderboard above. @MariNisia puts a Joker on the board straight away and gains the 50 Point bonus. It may be that they would wish to hold off converting it now and await how other cards play out to maximise points. Help with this aspect will always be given if players wish to discuss tactics by PM. The excitement is palpable!

Spanish billionaire, former politician and former VP of Real Madrid, Juan-Miguel Villar Mir, reportedly dead aged 92: https://www-heraldo-es.translate.goog/noticias/economia/2024/07/06/muere-juan-miguel-villar-mir-empresario-1746994.html?_x_tr_sl=es&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc -
And so, the time to start kicking Labour has begun. Phew! His speech as PM almost had a religious quality. That is a speech that could have been delivered by my granddad who was a minister. It felt almost inspiring, and yet it was, in essence, platitudes. Let's see. How long will it be before we are at him? I'm giving him until October, if I can haud my wheesht.

Right, the results are in. Rob Roberts lost by the largest margin (just pipping Kenny MacAskill) so for the second game in a row the winner is YoungWillz (me!). Lady Fiona played with fire and went for a party leader. Rishi Sunak held on by the largest margin in the game and the wooden spoon is awarded to her. All in all some creditable guesses and some welcome departures. Well done everybody. Also some unwelcome returnees to the Commons. Truss couldn't bring herself to be on the podium and when she eventually made it, she couldn't even thank her constituents for the opportunity to serve them as she left for obscurity. Mordaunt's quavery losing speech was probably more about not getting the chance to be leader than losing her seat. Democracy has spoken once again, and once again it has said "fuck you loser". If we are all here next time, let's do it all again.

Mel Stride and Steve Baker are our outliers. I need some sleep. See you in a few.
-
Priti Patel still provides the glamour in her seat.
-
Bim Afolami loses Hitchin. Huzzah!
-
Douglas Ross loses to SNP. The night/morning gets better.

I have one more coffee in me then if things aren't done for my game by 6, game is on hold until I have had a few zzzs.
-
Rees-Mogg probably my favourite loss of the evening.
-
It's been corrected to a Labour gain.

This is more fun than I thought.

I'm trying to keep up with the Portillo stuff, but the BBC website isn't keeping up! Aargh!

James Cracknell Olympian could not hold Colchester for the Tories. Former Wales Secretary Alun Cairns deposed in Vale of Glamorgan.
-
Gillian Keegan forecast to lose seat. Mwahahahaha. Good fucking job.
-
Recovery of a longstanding LibDem seat from the Tories. About damn time.
-
Esher may have gone LibDem. That is an earthquake there.

I've stuck with Sky, despite wanting to punch Ruth Davidson's face on my screen. She is still that sixth form private school debater who became head girl by breaking the necks of her schoolmates. She still doesn't act like a grown-up at all.
