I'll never understand it. Croatia out? Ukraine through? Belgium's song about a stolen T-shirt in the final? I fear the mental health effect of the COVID is worse than we all imagined....
-
Charles Grodin? Yes.
-
Why aren't you watching the first semi-final? Staging has been on the whole - AWESOME! North Macedonia might have done enough, even with some cheap tricks, ha! Difficult to see who's not making it to the final so far...

Toby reporting that stunt performer and actor Roy Scammell has died: Hugely associated with Who. IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0768882/ The only person to have stunt doubled for Kenneth Williams and Susan Hampshire I'm guessing?

I think possibly they would have had far more variety had they made it an Americas Song Contest - include Central and South America and Canada. They could ensure the variety by picking certain contributors to make it to the Grand Final by some sort of league system. Otherwise sounds like it might be a choice of songs from a homogenous group of folk. Odd - how do you encapsulate the "sound" of Maryland as against the "sound" of Oregon? Europe's diversity almost instantly sells itself.

Oi! First President I was aware of was Ford, although Carter is more memorable. But yeah, join the ranks of posters ready to attack me for a reasonable enquiry! Or indeed any post.
-
Any reason why the discussion on President's Men could not be on the dedicated thread for that purpose, rather than being buried in here? Most of them aren't politicians, I think.

@Ulitzer95 You've referenced Pervis Staples in the preamble to the entry for the Staple Singers here, although he had been replaced by the time of their UK hits. Turns out he's being reported dead: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/pervis-staples-staple-singers-dead-obituary-1168693/

Just a point - if we were all part of an equal UK, nobody would have been left behind. Nobody would need levelling up. What level? It's all pish. Anyway, back to the speech - we will create jobs, look at social care, draw up measures on this, propose on that. It was bloody awful. I think the only definites were lock people up for longer and make it harder for people to vote. These are their priorities after this past year? C'mon, Betty should have stood up and walked away.

Let's just say, if they are in the DDP, it helps to point this out to the Committee in your posts. They are overworked and underfunded - they are our care workers equivalent.
