The game was supposed to be complementary to the Cup. As that doesn't start until February, I could extend it to the end of January. I'm considering a rule change to include only those who are members of the Forum as of 1 January prior, and losing membership by ban means your team is eliminated. But that's if I run it this year, it's all up in the air.

Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

Well, if a mockery of the game is what it is to become, simply engineered for the benefit of those with contacts in the press and their friends, so be it. -
Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets

Hmm, Spade's had a look anyway. Look, if the DDP rules out death notices as a possible points bonanza for the cost of £30, there's no way a letter for the price of the time it takes to send an email, never mind a first class stamp, should count. Otherwise I'm sure someone is on the cusp of sending a letter of controversy about Ezra Nawi to all the usual DDP sources..... -

Sounds like a letters page. Now iirc that sort of mention was actually ruled out for a Guardian letter mention for some dead bod - Spade might recall a petition to the DDP on that point. Basically someone writing in to the letters page is equivalent to a death notice. Got to be a news article. -
Johnny Dumfries dead: https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/19178755.johhny-dumfries-marquess-bute-dies-aged-62/ Mwahahahaha.

A Casino owner's work is never done! I see Lee Noble has died. Interesting snippet from my archive is that @CaptainChorizo who won the 2019 Poker Tournament is the first player, not only in 2019 but also in any of the competitions since 2017, to achieve a full principal team of 25 dead. There will be a small notional trophy for collection at reception when we re-open!

I'll just say meh to UK's entry for 2021, Mr Newman. Imo, needs a lot more intricate brass (a la Modern Romance) and a bit of orchestra (loads of Big Country style violins) - it can be done if they tinker prior to the show. If this is it though, it lacks a pulse-racing "something".

Long Lister of mine I decided not to pick for this year. Victor Ambrus, Hungarian born illustrator who illustrated many children's books - especially KM Peyton's books such as Flambards - has reportedly died: More generally known as the illustrator on Channel 4's Time Team, where he visualised how places would have looked back at the time of the archaeology they were uncovering. RIP and much respect. Edit: Here's Victor at a Production meeting for Time Team regarding illustrations (essentially mostly being talked over, ha!):

Well indeed. "Here's your inheritance, a nasty dose of the COVID. If you keep it long enough, you might be able to trade it in for a variant in time. Now, where's me intubation?" You just don't get to see COVID patients.
