Good old Gwen Taylor turns up on Doctors today as an old lady. Looks great. And grey. 81 you know.

Unless you are prepared to re-open the scores, add in the missed pick and recalculate everybody's position after 4 years, I'd say no. If Joe Bloggs dies on 30 December but the Qobit appears on 10 January, the DDP ain't going to re-open and change, so definitely not after 4 years.

Running my finger down the list, it seems with little to no fanfare and certainly no Qobit, Amala Shankar (a sub for Captain Chorizo) died on 24 July. Do check your lists for those more *ahem" unique picks. If they've died and I don't know about it, I can't award points, can I?

Well, the term "anal sex" made the 1 o'clock news. I hear the sound of little old ladies and "concerned mums" getting out their pens and Basildon Bond to write a strongly worded letter.....

Over 10 years ago and nobody responded. Now folk are punting him as a contender for next year. Question is...will he make it out of the 2020 December massacre alive? -

The new Tory MP for Derbyshire Dales Sarah Dines seems to be in a bit of a pickle, having charged the taxpayer for hotel stays in London despite owning two properties within an hour's drive of Parliament. (Times reporting this behind a paywall). May not cost her the seat, but by jingo, when the Chancellor starts making us pay for COVID/Brexit economy resurrection, remember this one who put her hand in your pocket....

Just seen this news. No thread of his own? Astonishing! While I remember my dad forcing us to sit through what seemed to me at the time as an interminable bore of a mini series, Alec Guiness' portrayal was utterly fascinating to me. Still, I'll freely admit to never having read a Le Carre novel on the back of that.

The wife of Frank Lowy has died. Quite a lot follow their wives to their grave, if I hadn't already submitted a team for 2021, he'd be on it. Good shout for anyone thinking of plumping for him for 2021.

With so many eligible Toms about to shuffle off next year, if Stairway Tom Heaven doesn't come close, it will be because they didn't pick the right ones. It will be the surprise entry of next year if they get it right.

Even Quality Street has that hard dry toffee in amongst the good stuff. And so it is with Advent Calendars.

Oi! You know, that was a bit of an inspired pick actually. He looked pretty far gone on a BBC Four documentary, turned out it was from a while ago and I thought, why not? Nobody else is going to pick him. Turned out a unique hit. There's been worse, some swami summat?

I'll add I always had a thing for Kenneth Connor. Odd. But he was always great.

When I were but a lad of 9 or 10, this fellow from Carry On Teacher got me going when shown on the telly: But surprisingly not in Man About The House or Robin's Nest. Musta been the haircut.
