I blindly followed the link on IMDB. I'll smack him into the living unknowns. Literally, who cares, you and I know the ones who will quickly obit, then slowly obit, then there's folk like this Kaplan guy who will never, ever obit, all for DDP purposes of course!

    Tony Slattery

Well, I haven't done a list in ages. Might as well give it a go, though I'll probably stick it in the Comedy thread. And for a few of those, comedy is stretching it.... Never in a million years! I can only hope Slattery and Coogan go on one of those road trips. You know, the one where you drive a car. Into the sea.

Ok, so I said I wouldn't do any more. However... Aquarian Dream. According to the sleeve notes on Tough! by Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers released in 1966, Claude Bartee is referred to as being in his "late twenties" (so anywhere between 1937 and 1940 I guess) and a native of Detroit. https://www.amazon.com/Tough-PUCHO-LATIN-SOUL-BROTHERS/dp/B07T3TWYHJ. I've seen him referred to as sideman for Pucho and also Grant Green so it's the same guy. That's it.

I'll not put you off, I'll try and chip in. Oh, then there's all those fucking charity singles. Enjoy listing everybody on The Crowd's You'll Never Walk Alone. And an interminable amount of football singles (you are beginning to find these in the 1970s), from World Cups, European Cups, FA Cups.... And the Eurobeat stuff. Oh the spelling fun you will have! But I'll not put you off.

A little better with the 80s I'd presume, I've researched 1981 to 1987 with all the bands who had top 30 hits. However, I'll warn you now - there were so many synth records which effectively were studio productions with the occasional passing session singer. Stars on 45? The Tweets? Windjammer (an actual band) who I found no line up for? There still will be those ones waiting, and never mind that you are going for Top 75. So how do you decide who was on the record? The synth programmer and mixer? The minefield awaits, don't rush to get there.

The Angelettes. I appreciate your difficulty here, as the girls were all (apart from Sue) under 18 at the time of the record. Now helpfully, Julie Abbot (Hammersley) has her own webpage with a little more information: https://joolshammersley.com/jools and her hubby Michael also: https://michaelhammersley.com/about-the-author so I'd say they are likely resident in Cheshire. This clipping is also helpful: http://www.spectropop.com/Angelettes/full/full11.htm and if we tie that in with the Wiki which indicates The Angelettes appeared on TOTP on 27 April 1972: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_performers_on_Top_of_the_Pops Then what we get is Jan (17), Patricia (17) and Susan (18) all attending Levenshulme High School in Manchester and Julie (17) attending Bury Grammar. That puts their dobs somewhere in the region of 1953-1955.

This may get done in bits and pieces. After The Fire. Information on Ivor Twydell here: https://www.policeprofessional.com/news/gloucester-strengthens-its-chief-officer-team/. Deffo the same guy according to the comments here: https://mylifesajigsaw.blogspot.com/2011/02/iva-twydell-resting-in-your-love-1981.html - born in Luton and grew up either in Kensworth or Dunstable - so born 1957 gotta be some help. While there are loads of links to Andy Piercy, I can't find anything about his origins - coy Christian, I bet he's baptised! Interview here with Peter Banks from 2005, indicating he was resident on Mersea Island near Colchester then - might be an in: http://www.bbc.co.uk/suffolk/content/articles/2005/03/01/foster_factor_march_2005_feature.shtml and also this indicates in the early 1970s Andy Piercy was lodging in Framlingham - whatever good that will do. John Russell - *shrug*
