Actually, it appears that Jack The Groove was probably the second house music chart hit, following hot on the heels of the Darryl Pandy/Farley Jackmaster Funk hit Love Can't Turn Around. The latter I thought more of a dance record at the time, however it seems it is classed as house. Anyhow, I wasn't part of the acid trippin' rave scene at the time, just a chart watcher.

The Hares Pool used to accept such obits, but that has gone now. There's still a wide open field of possible QOs on that pool, and Sutherland hasn't got one yet as far as I know.
