Nah, when I reported it, there was so little Twitter activity everyone wrote it off as a hoax, even me. (Though there was the ukulele thing which kept me hanging on). Next morning all over the place. Immediate and trending was Whittingham, next morning he's alive all over the place!

Apparently Peter Whittingham is not dead. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51928263 Cf - Roy Hudd who was dead and practically unnoticed, a weeping and a wailing from thousands about Whittingham only to find out he's alive.

Looks like I was right to raise the possibility. Very old school humour, you had to be there. Shame it's the worst sort of Huddline we are reading. RIP.

I'd have thought so. There are some considerable miles between Stowmarket and Farnborough. But the love of the ukulele is universal....

I just had a chuckle at the CNN debate. When asked what he was doing to protect himself from Covid-19 he begins "....and knock on wood (taps head) I'm in good health..." and finishes with "I don't touch my face..." Which he just did.

Seems a harsh reality. The dying cannot see their loved ones one last time. One last hug, one last kiss, one last family contact denied. Then the funerals pile up or are carried out alone. Now Ireland are closing their pubs. That's when you know someone is taking it seriously.

This guy seems to have updated Roy's Wiki page to say he's died: Now I'd normally write it off as vandalism, but the "ukulele player" in his bio should give us all pause. So, is he dead?
