Well. Could stick him in with the character actors, the comedy performers and/or the soap stars and he is lost. Whereas this is where his niche is, specified in the OP, and he talks fondly of how he fell in love with Basil and was lost. And he was my Mr. Rather like the outcry when I cross-posted (not posted) Alan Rickman's death in the Harry Potter thread. Rickman loved the series and what it did for him, but folk who preferred him in other things wouldn't wear it. Remember, when you capture a generation of kids, you are loved for it forever. Fowlds and Rickman got it.

Hmm, I don't have Tolkein here, I'm stuffed to the gunnells with Dr Who folk.

Dropped him as I didn't think he'd be unique this year, which he would have been. If the sepsis couldn't get him in 2019, then he's sturdy enough I feel.

Haven't looked yet, been a bit busy, I'll pop on later. Sounds like you have acclaim so I'm sure it is superb.

Interesting point: Gwynne Jones was a military historian who authored a book on Field Marshal Montgomery. Montgomery's son and successor to his hereditary title died a couple of days before Gwynne Jones.

Seems a week early this year, however, the Oscar Nominations are out, or are they in, so let's have a closer look at those Best Picture Nominees: 4 sisters are determined to live life on their own terms, only to find themselves in the end consigned to the kitchen in Vittle Women. Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson get stuck in a lift, but all is resolved when they get off at the Marriage Storey. One for the astronomers, the latter stages of the First World War are interrupted when a star goes supernova in the Fireworks Galaxy in 1917A. Allen? Busfield? Curry? Roth? Dalton? Hutton? There's serious competition in movieland for the latest role in Once Upon A Tim In Hollywood. The South Koreans take an unusual interest in the excrement of long dead American Forces from the Korean War in Para Shite. A dyslexic wrestler arrives in Gotham City to discover his superpower is turning up regularly to get beaten up in Jober. One superpowered car. One relay team of below average golfers. Who wins? in Fore v Ferrari. The mob move into the florist business in The Iris Man. The tale of a British Prime Minister and how he turns on the ladies in Bojo Rabbit.

Shouldn't have had Lord Tim Hudson as a sub. He's dead: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-7879563/SPORTS-AGENDA-BBC-wont-getting-rid-Mark-Pougatch.html Probably best known as having links with the Beatles US tours, Ian Botham's ex-manager, bit of a leech really who never played a leech for Disney, but did voice characters in The Jungle Book and The Aristocats. EDIT: Article says he died last month so probably a lucky escape not picking him.
