    The Deathlist Poker Tournament 2019

The drinks are coming round from the bar. I've decided to dust off and use the Bobby Mugs to serve them in, now Mugabe is dead. A warm welcome to the tables and the leaderboard for Bibliogryphon. When Gooseberry Crumble will join the party, who knows? Now the sole player without a hit. Anyway, a few players had the old Zimbabwean which means things tighten up at the bottom and the top of the leaderboard. Bonus: Sir Creep hits A Clubs: 5 Additional Points. Banana had Mugabe as a sub and gets lucky with the A Hearts - 14 Points added to the total there. Leaderboard updated.

    Robert Mugabe

Just saw that being reported. Alas, I shall miss his contributions to the Forum. No wait...I won't.
  14. Thought it would be invaluable to post the above lest we forget how well Bawjaws did as Mayor, which he regards as some sort of heroic period of championship for London. Seriously, was leafing through the comments on the 2017 election lead up and result. Spade Cooley correctly identified that Tezza would be gone by 2020 at the latest. Sean also seemed to think that she'd hang on for a couple of years and possibly be replaced by Bawjaws. I predicted a hung parliament about 4 weeks out from the election of 2017 when the polls were heavily in favour of the Conservatives. Can't remember but someone also mentioned defections from the Tories, but they thought they'd be to UKIP...ah, salad days. Joey Russ suggested Javier Perez de Cuellar might die around election time...the Peruvian lives. Sadly many were wrong, thinking Tezza could maybe manage a few months at most, and suggesting a possible Autumn election. Looks like charon wanted an October election during his lifetime...he might just get his way!

  16. Evening Standard, Evening Standard! "Asked by the paper (in 2013) if he and Jo were similar to David and Ed, Boris said: "We don't do things that way, that's a very leftwing thing. "Only a socialist could do that to his brother, only a socialist could regard familial ties as being so trivial as to shaft his own brother. "I mean, unbelievable. Only lefties can think like that ... they see people as discrete agents devoid of ties to society or to each other, and that's how Stalin could murder 20 million people."
  17. Bawjaws about to speak in Wakefield. Backed, by the looks of it, by all the remaining police officers in Wakefield. Crime wave due! (Which Bawjaws will blame on Sadiq Khan, no doubt).

  21. Erm….SNP want to remain at best, of course they do. Because every constituency they represent voted to remain. SNP also were the first to propose possible deals within the UK regarding an orderly Brexit. Binned by Tezza on sight, who believes less in the Union than having Gove, Johnson and Rees-Mogg kiss her leather trousered butt. No Scottish Tory defied Johnson. That will haunt them in any forthcoming election, prepared to contemplate a no-deal Brexit which would destroy major parts of the Scottish economy. Ferengi Javid's election bribe announced today will not be honoured, especially if we crash out - the money won't be there.
  22. I'd at least like to hear someone articulate what it means to them or their party, whether that is agreeable or not. I do find that I'd probably disagree with both major Westminster parties in either event, due to their vested interest representation. Truth is both have rarely acted in a truly national interest. And we are seeing the worst of both played out right now.
  23. Still find it fascinating that most of the discussion is about tactics, plans or the lack of them, the break up of the Tory party, deselections, appointment of lords and all round process. Indeed, very little about the national interest or the country. That's the sad truth about Westminster. It's about which party gets power.
