In saying that, perhaps the signs were there, back in the days when I was busy predicting Saxa's death: Fact he has admitted having a seizure while on his course and an unoperated on (so perhaps benign) tumour, he could simply seizure out or do a worse version of Alex Ferguson. As much as he wants to be on stage and the fans want him back, I worry that he could simply drop at any time now. If he goes out performing though, I guess that's what he might want.

Hence his place on my ToTP theme team. It's terrible news. I hope he survives as long as possible.

Did you say The Young Ones? Cliff or 80s comedy show? Ha! Which gives me the excuse to say Ade Edmondson is 62 today!
-
With Jill and Paul being actively discussed, let's remember the most important Gascoigne. Yep, Bamber Gascoigne is 84 today!

Bearded. New teeth. He's no Victoria Derbyshire, except they are both alive.

Can't get "haunting", "Motown", "Spector" and "spectre" out of my head, ha! Hmm, did Phil Spector have any solo hits? I've gone down a rabbit hole here!

Crikey, the celebs are going down like ninepins this month! Can we say record year yet?

Yikes. looks like you are right, and I am sure I posted 1925 as her date when I did the list of surviving Rowan and Martin Laugh-In folks. Well, I haven't changed my team anyway. Does this mean Book has to pick another dame for 1926?
-

Yes, the Oscar Noms are out, so it is that time of year again. Eight nominees for Best Picture....how much better would they be if these were the actual films? Freddie Mercury takes on the Sugarhill Gang in a battle of the spoken word set to the music of Queen, in Bohemian Rap-sody. (Yes, this was a fucker, sorry). A black cop from Colorado goes undercover to expose the rise of Neo-Nazism and the terrible secret of a team member of the West German football team, in BlackkKlinsman. The 18th century Royal court is outraged that a colonist from the Americas is challenging for the succession as the Queen, especially as she cannot spell correctly, in The Favorite. A jazz pianist and his bodyguard travel to Eastern Europe to change their minds on climate change, in Green Blok. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga get rough with each other in animated form in the Lion King prequel, A Scar Is Born. Every problem Dick Cheney is faced with is a real headscratcher, in Lice. Due to a misprint on a letter from her agent, Valerie Harper travels to Mexico to make a beloved sitcom about a housekeeper in troubled times in Roda. The region of Wakanda is faced with a crime wave when the main character discovers what his real superhero power is, in Black Pantser.

You know how you find an obituary and decide against posting it? And then you have another look? Well, that's what I did here. Death notice for John Fortune-Fraser, who produced and acted in Sir Billi: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/thetimes-uk/obituary.aspx?n=john-fortune-fraser-mbe&pid=191324567 Why post it? Because the film was Sean Connery's last acting role before his retirement.
