So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
YoungWillz replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well, The ABC Murders is quite frankly, shite. Don't get me wrong...acting's pretty good. The adaptation though is making the whole story one-dimensional and practically obvious where it is going, focusing on Poirot's background and demons is missing the point. Hastings might not be necessary to the story, but missing him out means the viewer is not personally engaged. And the guy playing Donald is the least handsome I've seen in any adaptation. Shame, it's one of my favourite stories. -
Nice to see Eric and Ernie's show with Ronnie Carroll tonight. With Ernie casually introducing "the IRA sketch"....different times...

79 today! Dead on Hogmanay!* Put a wall of sound to that, Phil. *Got him in this year's Hare's Pool.

With Sister Wendy Beckett's death, that makes 3 of my drops from 2017 to bite the dust this year, along with Mary Ellis and Burt Reynolds. Hmph!

One of my first picks on here for various things, however, I lost faith. Enjoyed her programmes. RIP.

The Olsen Twins & Christina Ricci

Speculation about The Olsen Twins contained in this recent story: https://www.romper.com/p/will-the-olsen-twins-ever-be-on-fuller-house-they-havent-been-forgotten-15535542 Meantime, Christina Ricci is still making movies. Not going anywhere judging by this recent Mail "story": https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-6464229/Christina-Ricci-looks-business-chic-suit-Hollywood-power-lunch.html -

Nope, much more recent than that with an Academy Award controversially not awarded to the speaker of this line. Edit: Having checked, not even nominated.

Team sent, @Book. I look forward to seeing how my powers of tele-patheticism do this year!

Ok, one of my favourite movies of all time. "With all due respect Your Honor, we don't live in this Courtroom."

Rumours have started up that Honey Lantree of The Honeycombs has died. Hmmm...

There's the UK band The Eagles and all, but mostly instrumental stuff. Associated with Ron Grainer, which would tie in, but I'm damned if I can find anything Dr Who/Christmas related by them.
